SOLUTION: When the dew point of the atmosphere is a predetermined value or more at the time of cooling, it is controlled in a dehumidifying mode for operating a moisture absorbing and discharging rotor 4, a heat exchanger rotor 5, a heater 6 for drying and a humidifier 7 to approach the dew point to a target value. When the dew point is a predetermined value or less and the temperature is a predetermined value or higher, it is controlled in a heat exchange mode for stopping the heater 6 and the rotor 4 to approach the temperature to a target value. When the temperature and the dew point are predetermined value or less, it is controlled in a ventilation mode for operating only fans 1 and 2. Thus, when the humidity of the atmosphere is low, the heater 6 is stopped, only the heat exchange is executed to prevent the wasteful use of energy.

CONSTITUTION: In an air-conditioning system wherein a refrigerant condensed in an outdoor machine 1 is sent to a plurality of indoor machines 2, evaporated in each indoor machine 2 and returned to the outdoor machine 1, while the degree of opening of an expansion valve 4 interposed in a branch refrigerant piping on the upstream side of each indoor machine 2 is controlled so that a temperature difference, (Tb-Ta) of the refrigerant between the outlet and the inlet of each indoor machine 2 be a prescribed value, a means for changing over a control target value of the temperature difference in a plurality of stages in accordance with a temperature or a pressure detected by a refrigerant temperature sensor 12 or a refrigerant pressure sensor provided at the outlet of the outdoor machine 1 is provided. Since the degree of overheat being a control target of the expansion valve 4 is changed over simultaneously when a load of the outdoor machine 1 changes suddenly, accordingly, the temperature difference of the refrigerant at that time point deviates to a large extent from the control target value (target degree of overheat). Accordingly, the degree of opening of the expansion valve 4 is modified immediately and sharply and thus it can cope with the sudden change of the load of the outdoor machine 1.
