摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave suppressing structure which not only has a sufficient wave-suppressing hydraulic function irrespective of wave direction but also is desirable as the environment creating type. SOLUTION: A wave suppressing structure comprises one or two or more wave suppressing units 3 installed on a foundation bed 1 on the sea. A wave suppressing wall 5 constituting the outer shape of the wave suppressing unit 3 is formed into an arc shape pointed in the directions S of waves coming from all directions. A hollow chamber 9 is provided inside the unit 3, and an opening 11 provided in the part of the wave suppressing wall 5 below design high tide level-(H.W.L) and opposite to the main wave direction S communicates the hollow chamber 9 to the sea outside.

Inner insertion bodies 4 to be inserted into the outer pipe bodies 3 through insertion openings 3a so as to be able to slide freely up and down are provided on the upper ends of supports 5 whose lower end sides are supported by anchors 6 provided on the sea bottom.

A valve seat 14 is provided to a port 13 of the air pipe 7, and a ball 15 is floated and seated by air pressure of the air piston.

The high-temp. seawater is efficiently circulated by the seawater piping 24 and the seawater piping 54 in such a manner and the temp. difference of the seawater is generated on both surfaces of the PV membrane 16 by the smaller heat energy. The moisture in the seawater permeates the PV membrane 16 under the steam pressure difference generated by such temp. difference and is taken as the plainwater out of a gap 18.
