    • PURPOSE:To detect a flaw part under any environment by an infrared imaging machine by a method wherein a mat heater containing a magnetic iron powder is closely brought into contact with the outer surface of the pipe magnetically and said outer surface of the pipe is heated by the heat generated by supplying a current to the electric heater of said mat heater. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 is heated from the outer surface thereof to generate temp. difference between the respective parts of the outer surface of the pipe 1 corresponding to the flaw part 2 and normal part in the pipe 1. The heat image of said temp. difference is calculated by an infrared imaging machine 6 to detect the flaw part 2. A mat heater 3 for this heating is composed of a rubber sheet containing a magnetic iron powder and an electric heater 4 is uniformly embedded in said sheet. Therefore, the mat heater 3 is closely brought into contact with the outer surface of the pipe 1 easily by the magnetism of said iron powder and generates heat by connecting a conductor 5 to a power supply. When the outer surface of the pipe 1 is imaged during a time when temp. difference remains, the heat image of temp. difference having the part showing high temp. corresponding to the flaw part 2 is obtained. This image is projected on a monitor television 7 and the flaw part on the inner surface of the pipe 1 is detected.

    • PURPOSE:To enable detection of a foreign matter existing on the inner surface of an object to be inspected as infrared image, by heating or cooling the object being inspected from the inner surface thereof to take the outer surface thereof with an infrared camera. CONSTITUTION:An infrared camera head 3 of an infrared video device 2 is directed to the outer surface of a piping 1 as object to be measured from one way. A heating fluid 4 is passed rapidly through the piping 1 to heat it from the inner surface thereof quickly. Then, the quick heating is stopped to take the outer surface of the piping 1 with the camera head 3 immediately after the quick heating or the outer surface thereof is taken with the camera head 3 quickly heating it. Less of heat applied by a heating fluid 4 is transmitted to the outer surface of the pipe at a portion 1b of the pipe wall with a foreign manner 5 on the inner surface thereof than at a portion 1a of the pipe wall without the foreign matter 5 thereon and the existence of the foreign matter 5 on the inner surface thereof appears as temperature difference. This enables projection of the foreign matter 5 in the inner surface of the piping 1 on a monitor TV 6 or the like provided on the body of the infrared video device 2 as infrared image by photographing the outer surface of the piping 1 with the infrared camera head 3 immediately after the quick heating.

    • PURPOSE:To certainly detect the flaw part in a pipe by closely bringing an air permeable bag-shaped mat having an exothermic mixture received therein into contact with the outer surface of the pipe and heating the pipe by the heat of the oxidation reaction of the iron powder in the mat. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 is heated from the outer surface thereof to generate temp. difference between the respective outer surface parts of the pipe 1 corresponding to the flaw part and normal part in said pipe 1. The heat image of the temp. difference is calculated by an infrared imaging machine 4 to detect the flaw part. For the sake of this heating, a bag-shaped mat 3 having an exothermic mixture consisting of an iron powder, an activated carbon powder and a catalyst received therein is closely brought into contact with the outer surface of the pipe 1. When the mat 3 is crumpled after a small amount of water and sufficient air are contained in the exothermic mixture, the mat 3 generates heat by the oxidation reaction of the iron powder. Therefore, the outer surface of the pipe 1 can uniformly be heated in any environment and the flaw part 2 in the pipe 1 can certainly be detected by the imaging machine 4.

    • PURPOSE:To enable detection of an infrared image of a state of existence of a contact piece existing in contact with the internal surface of an object to be inspected, by heating or cooling the object being inspected quickly from the outer surface thereof to take the object with an infrared camera. CONSTITUTION:An infrared camera head 4 of an infrared video device 3 is directed to the outer surface of a packed pipe column 1 as piping to be inspected from one way. Then, the outer surface of the packed pipe column 1 held in a screen of a monitor TV 6 is heated quickly with a heater 7 in a photography range thereof and in the perimeter of the range. Then, immediately after the quick heating, it is taken with the camera head 4 in the photography range heated. As the outer surface of a pipe is deprived of heat from the inner surface side thereof at a portion 1b of the pipe wall with a cavity 8 near the inner surface thereof in contact with a concrete 2 less than at the portion 1a thereof without the cavity 8. A difference in thermal effect appears as temperature difference in the outer surface of the pipe depending on a difference of a packing state - how the concrete 2 contacts the inner surface of the packed pipe column 1. Thus, photographing with the infrared camera head 4 enables projection of the packing state on a monitor TV 6 or the like as infrared image.

CONSTITUTION:While an infrared camera head 3 of an infrared video device 2 is directed to the outer surface of a piping 1 as object to be inspected from one way, the piping 1 is heated almost evenly with a heater 7 in a range 6 of photographing the outer surface of the piping 1 held in a screen of a monitor TV and in the perimeter thereof. Then, the heating is stopped to take the outer surface of the piping 1 with the camera head 3 in the photographing range 6 heated. here, an internal fluid 9 flows through the piping 1 to deprive the piping 1 of heat from the inner surface side thereof. The piping 1 is deprived of heat by the fluid 9a passed from the inner surface side thereof at a portion 1b of the pipe wall with a foreign matter 8 in the inner surface less than at a portion 1a of the pipe wall without the foreign matter 8 thereon and appears as temperature difference on the outer surface of the pipe. This enables detection of the foreign matter 8 on the inner surface of the piping 1 as infrared image by photographing the outer surface of the piping 1 with the infrared camera head 3 immediately after the passage of the fluid.

    • PURPOSE:To easily detect cracks in a short period of time even if the cracks are very small by wetting the surface of an object with a volatile liquid, photographing the surface with an IR camera and discriminating a normal point and the crack point by the difference of the temps. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the object 1 consisting of concrete, etc., is wetted with the volatile liquid 3 which has high volatility, sustains the volatility and is easily penetratable into the cracks 2 generated in the object even if the cracks are very small, by means of a sprayer 5. The surface of the object 1 is thereafter photographed with the IR camera 4 and the image thereof is projected on a monitor TV 7. The normal point of the object 1 dries but the volatile liquid 3 is hardly dried in the point of the cracks 2 and is held wet and, therefore, the temp. drop continues and the cracks 2 are detected as the low temp. part on the IR image on the object 1 surfaces. The cracks 2 are thereby easily detected in a short period of time even if the cracks are very small.
