    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cogging torque using fractional slot structures with a relatively simple connection structure.SOLUTION: A three-phase AC rotating machine comprises: a rotor including a plurality of poles; and a stator including a plurality of slots, in which poles of 2n pieces are arranged at equal intervals and slots of 3n+3 pieces are arranged at equal intervals. As the 3n+3 pieces of slots, two kinds of slot regions, namely, n/2+1 pieces of positive slot regions and n/2 pieces of negative slot regions are alternately provided. The slots in the positive regions connect to U phase, V phase, and W phase respectively in order and connection directions for the slots are forward. The slots in negative regions connect, skipping a phase successive to the last phase in a former block, to corresponding U phase, V phase, and W phase from the next phase respectively in order, and connection directions for the slots are reverse. The connection of the last slot in the slots in the negative slot regions finishes with the next phase to the last slot skipped.
