    • PURPOSE: To easily perform the coating work of bentonite particles to steel member by a method in which a bentonite dispertion is filled in a pit, a negative electrode is provided surrounding the steel member along the inner wall of the pit, and the steel member is electrified as positive electrode.
      CONSTITUTION: A bentonite dispersion 13 is filled in a pit 9 excavated in a working site 10, a negative electrode 11 surrounding a steel member 2 is provided along the inner wall of the pit 9, and then the steel member 2 is electrified as a positive electrode. Whereupon, negatively charged bentonite particles are attached by the surface of the steel member 2 as positive electrode and adhered to the surface of the steel member 2 to form a bentonite coat in a semi-solid state on the surface of the steel member 2.
