    • In order to provide an inflator which is capable of generating an impulse wave and allowing the impulse wave to burst the gas exit of the pressure container to inject gas therefrom even with the initiator which cannot generate high-pressure gas outstandingly rapidly, a pressure container (4) is provided with a tube (14) extending into a gas storage (2) so as to direct toward a gas jet port (6) at the rear end thereof and an initiator (16) fitted into the rear end of the tube (14). The distal end of the pressure container (4) is closed by a closure disk (18). The tube (14) is filled with gas whereof the pressure is lower than the pressure in the gas storage (2). The initiator (16) injects high-pressure gas into the tube (14) and generates an impulse wave. The impulse wave breaks the closure disk (18) and propagates in the gas storage (2), and then bursts a burst disk (8) when it reaches the gas jet port (6).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inflator capable of rupturing a gas outlet of a pressure tight case by shock wave to allow a gas to be spouted even when a high pressure gas is not remarkably exponentially generated from an initiator. SOLUTION: A tube 14 extended in a gas storage chamber 2 toward a gas spray nozzle 6, and the initiator 16 internally fitted to a rear end side of the tube 14 are mounted on a rear end part of the pressure tight case 4. A tip side of the pressure tight case 14 is closed by a closure disc 18. A gas of a pressure lower than the pressure in the gas storage chamber 2 is packed in the tube 14. The initiator 16 spouts high pressure gas in the tube 14 to generate the shock wave.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of easily manufacturing a gas generator filled with a high pressure gas without using a high pressure compressor.
      SOLUTION: A store gas inflator 1 is provided with a pressure container 2 filled with a high pressure gas. When this high pressure gas is filled, a predetermined amount of gas generation agent 32 is stored in the pressure container 2. A rear part of this pressure container 2 is inserted to a heater 34 and is heated. When the pressure container 2 is heated and the gas generation agent 32 at the inside is heated to a reaction starting temperature, the gas generation agent mildly starts a reaction and the pressure in the pressure container 2 is gradually raised. The pressure in the pressure container 2 reaches at a predetermined high pressure by reacting all of the gas generation agent 32.
