摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a floating structure and to improve overlaying load capacity by containing a floating body in a casing, having an opened bottom plate, between side plates and forming holes to eliminate a water level difference between the inside and the outside of the side plate of the casing. CONSTITUTION:A floating structure 1 comprises a casing 2 having an opened bottom part and a floating body 3 contained in the casing 2. The casing 2 comprises a plurality of side plates 21 and a top plate 22 with which an upper port surrounded with the side plates 21 is closed, and a plurality of air holes 23 are formed in the edge part of the top plate 22. Meanwhile, the floating body 3 is formed as a structure with a bottom, having size lower than the inner size of the casing 2, by using a material, such as foamed styrene, having light specific gravity, and a gap 4 is formed between the side of the floating body 3 and the side plate 21 of the casing 2. The gap 4 is communicated with the outside through the air holes 23 of the casing 2. This constitution eliminates a water level difference between the inside and the outside of the side plate 21, and prevents the occurrence of excessive moment and shearing force, occasioned by a water pressure difference, to the side plate 21.

摘要： In the prodn. of a decorative structural panel, a patterned, pref. printed layer contg. a binder and a colour, at least one of which is water-soluble, is placed on a substrate surface for the prodn. of a transfer layer. The patterned layer is placed upwards in a slip casting mould, then a mixt. of hydraulic material, water and opt. conventional additives is poured into the mould and hardened. The colour penetrates the surface of the panel and panels of constant quality can be made. The process is simple and cheap and avoids the need to use heating and pressure. Inan example, synthetic fibre paper was printed with a marble colour, using 3 inks contg. polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVA, EtOH, water and pigment. This was placed in the bottom of a mould in which a mixt. of gypsum and water was cast. The hardened panel, which had a rich pattern, was then impregnated with a polymethyl methacrylate prepolymer and hardened, increasing the richness and stability of the pattern.
