    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate a waste disposal site to make the waste disposal site continuously usable for landfilling without causing pollution in the peripheral environments by burying selected dug out substances in the waste disposal site where pollution preventing facilities are built up. SOLUTION: Wastes buried in a waste disposal site equipped with no pollution preventing facilities are taken out and after that, pollution preventing facilities are newly installed to regenerate the waste disposal site as a safe waste disposal site available for burying wastes again. In this case, a chemical agent is mixed with the dug out wastes by a chemical agent mixing apparatus to make the wastes suitable for classification. Moreover, water-shielding gutters 52 are employed together with a water leakage detection system 53. In the burying back process, a part of wastes are previously moved to other already buried wastes and then after installation of pollution preventing facilities 5, the wastes which were sorted and treated for decreasing the volume are successively buried back in the site where the pollution preventing facilities are installed. At the time of digging out the wastes, the polluted soil under the buried wastes is also taken out and treated together with the wastes. Consequently, no new site for storing dug out wastes is required to be developed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily find a water leakage site in a building by placing an external electrode in a conductive medium placed on a waterproof material of the building, applying voltage between the external electrode and an internal electrode placed on a building body and detecting skewness in a potential distribution on a surface of the waterproof material. SOLUTION: A medium 31 conducting electricity, such as water or a mat including water, is put on a waterproof material, a waterproof sheet 2 for example, on a roof 4 of a building 1, and an external electrode 12 is placed in the medium 31. On the other hand, an internal electrode 13 is placed in a body 6 of the building 1, voltage is applied between the electrodes 12, 13 by a power source 10, and current flowing between the electrodes 12, 13 is measured by an ammeter 11. If there is no breakage on the waterproof sheet 2, no current flows, while if there is breakage current flows through a broken part 30, resulting in skewness in a potential distribution generated with the broken part 30 as the center. The skewness in the potential distribution is caught by a measuring electrode 21 placed in a mesh in the vicinity of the waterproof sheet 2 to sense the broken part 30 (leakage site).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the construction method of a continuous underground wall and a cage which can prevent collapse of ground while high permeability is secured by tightly adhering a strainer box and a water communicating pipe. SOLUTION: In the construction method of a permeable continuous underground wall, a strainer box and a water communicating pipe 5 are buried in a continuous underground wall to allow underground water flow to pass through. The strainer box 4 slidable in the orthogonal direction to a face of a cage 1 which is in contact with the underground water flow layer is disposed on the face, one end opening part of the water communicating pipe can be freely expanded in the orthogonal direction to an opposite to face the face in contact with the underground water flow layer of the strainer box 4 is connected to the opposite face. A sheet body 3 is disposed on the whole of both the faces of the cage 1 except for the face of the strainer box in contact with the underground water flow layer and the opening part of the water communicating pipe 5 located in the face opposite with respect to strainer box 4, the cage 1 is erected in an excavated groove 2, and concrete is placed between the sheet bodies 3.

    • PURPOSE:To calculate the presence and position of a leakage of water, by arranging measuring electrodes in water or ground and measuring potential difference while moving said electrodes in a reticulated state so as to pass a plurality of points. CONSTITUTION:Clayey low water permeable soil 3 is laid on the entire surface of a base plate 2 and a water blocking sheet 1 is laid on the upper surface of said coil 3 to be covered with cover soil 31. A drain layer 32 is formed between two water blocking sheets 1 and drain pipes 34, 35 are embedded in said drain layer 32. Next, a large number of electrodes 4 are embedded between two water blocking sheets in a reticulated state. The output cables connected to the respective electrodes 4 measure potential difference in a control chamber and potential distribution is prepared. A reference potential electrode 5 is con nected to the central part of a final disposal area. Then, a current is allowed to flow from the center of the final disposal area and potentials are measured between both potential electrodes 4, 5. A potential distribution chart is prepared on the basis of the measured values at respective points and the presence and position of a leakage of water are detected from said chart.

    • PURPOSE:To locate water leakage point at an early period and to detect the position of the water leakage accurately, by arranging sensors, which can check water quality, in draining pipes, which are arranged for preventing the floating of a water barrier layer. CONSTITUTION:A dam body 3 for blocking the collapse of garbage 2 is provided on the downstream side of a final garbage disposal plant. Pipes 4 for draining spring water are embedded beneath a water barrier layer 1 so as to cover the almost entire area of the water barrier layer 1 in a branch pattern. Sensors 6, which can measure, e.g., electric conductivity, pH, various ion concentrations and the like, are arranged in the pipes 4. Water quality examination is performed by using said sensors 6. Then, presence or absence of water leakage due to the breakdown of the water barrier layer 1 can be readily judged based on whether contaminated material is mixed in flowing water or not. The broken point of the water barrier layer 1 can be estimated by the position where the sensor 6 is installed.
