摘要： The metal gasket (1) is formed of a metallic base plate (10) which has a plurarity of openings (11,12,13,14) and beads (15) formed therearound. The base plate (10) may include annular shims (20) welded on the base plate (10) around the openings (11) and a resilient sealing member (31,32) deposited on the base plate (10) surrounding the openings (11,12,13,14). The gasket (1) may be disposed in such a manner as to place tip ends (15a) of the beads (15) toward the cylinder block which causes a smaller displacement relative to the beads in comparison with the cylinder head. The resilient sealing member (31,32) may be arranged to have a section of different dimension between a portion located at a side facing the beads (15) and other portion at the opposite side thereof, or between a portion located at a junction where two of the beads meet and other portion.

摘要： A vibration-damping device comprises at least one columnar member 1, one end of which is fixable to a vehicle body or component, a tubular member 2 for fitting to each columnar member 1, a weight member 3 disposed adjacent to the tubular member 2, and a rubber elastomeric member 4 interposed between the weight member and the tubular member to unite them. The device is supplied in two parts, the columnar member 1 and a unit comprising the tubular member 2 elastomer 4 and weight 3. The columnar member 1 is attached to the vehicle body, and the unit is then affixed to the columnar member 1 by means of the tubular member 2. Columnar member 1 may be a force fit in tubular member 2 or may be arranged to extend through the tubular member 2 and be flanged over at its end to attach the unit to the vehicle body. As shown, a plurality of columnar members 1 and tubular members 2 may be used.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate discrimination of a seal member by forming the seal member of a material in a color different from that of a base plate. CONSTITUTION:A vulcanized rubber layer 30 composes a seal film, and since it contains carbon block, it is tinted with black. As against above, though first and second seal members 31 and 32 are also formed of vulcanized rubber, both contain carbon black and white carbon, and a silicic acid compound and are colored, and tinted with grey. Since the seal member formed on the base plate is in a color from that of the base plate and discrimination is facilitated, it can be properly visually inspected whether the seal member is formed along a given locus. Further, through utilization of an optical device, automatic inspection is practicable and productivity is improved.

Since the spring constant of the outer peripheral bead 18 can be varied according to the part where other bead 17 is close or not, the surface pressure due to the outer peripheral bead 18 can be made nearly equal at all parts independently of the existence of other bead 17 in proximity, and the sealing function of the outer peripheral bead 18 can be improved in comparison with that in the conventional.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a joint face due to a bead and to ensure stable sealing ability on the whole of a metallic gasket by increasing the thickness of a seal film on the surface on the protrusion part side of a bead to a value higher than that of a seal film on the surface on the recessed part side of the bead. CONSTITUTION:First seal films 16a and 16b of a vulcanized rubber layer formed of vulcanized fluorine rubber are formed on both surfaces of a base plate 10. The first seal films 16a and 16b are a seal film adhered on the surface on the protrusion part 15a side of a bead 15 and the surface on the recessed part 15b side thereof, and a thickness t1a of the surface on the protrusion part 15a side of the bead 15 is increased to a value higher than a thickness t1a of the back thereof. Second seal films 17a and 17b of a non-vulcanized or unvulcanized rubber layer formed on both surfaces of the base plate 10 are adhered to the first seal films 16a and 16b, respectively. A thickness t2a of the surface on the protrusion part 15a side of the bead 15 of the second seal films 17a and 17b is increased to a value higher than a thickness t2b of the back thereof. This constitution prevents the top surface of the protrusion part of the bead from being exposed to damage a joint face and ensures stable sealing ability.

摘要： PURPOSE:To secure a stable sealability without being affected by a differential thermal expansion, etc., by welding a shim ring substantially continuously with a substrate along the whole circumference at least close to an inner edge. CONSTITUTION:A metal gasket 1 has a resilient metal plate, that is a substrate 10 of stainless steel, for example, a combustion chamber hole 11, etc., are bored in this substrate 10, and a bead 15, and inclined parts 16-18 are formed in it. A circular metal plate, or a spacer of stainless steel, or a so-called shim ring 20, for example, is fixed to the bead 15 on the side of a protruding part 15. The shim ring 20 is disposed to put its inner edge almost along the inner edge of an aperture end part 10a, and laser welding is performed close to the inner edge. A weld line 21 which is substantially continuous along the whole circumference of the inner edge of the circular shim ring 20 is therefore formed. Penetration of pressure fluid between the shim ring and the substrate can thus be prevented, and a stable sealability can be secured.
