    • A facsimile apparatus which is connected to the ISDN having a plurality of information channels comprises: a receiving circuit to receive image data and voice data which were sent from a partner apparatus; memories for storing the image data and the voice data which were received by the receiving circuit; an instructing circuit to instruct the output of the image data stored in the memory; and an output device for outputting the image data and the voice data stored in the memories in accordance with the instruction of the instructing circuit. The receiving circuit can simultaneously receive both of the image and voice data as a pair by using the two information channels of the ISDN.

    • A head clip used in a task of assembly, inspection, and maintenance such as repair or cleaning of a device having a head attached to an actuator, and to a working method using the head clip. The heads are located at an extreme end of the actuator. The head clip includes first and second support units inserted into the actuator so as to support suspensions to which the heads are disposed. The first support units are in contact with adjacent suspensions and support them at a first position which is located nearer to the pivoting fulcrum than to the heads in the longitudinal direction of the actuator. The second support units regulate the adjacent suspensions at a second position located at the extreme end, and the heads are disposed between the first position and the second position on the longitudinal direction.

    • An encoding apparatus of the invention includes a multiplexer for converting serial input video data into 8-bit parallel video data, a counter for counting a run length of the serial input video data so as to generate its count as 6-bit parallel data, a detection circuit for detecting a variability point of the input video data, a mode control circuit for selecting the parallel output from the multiplexer or the counter in accordance with the content of the input video data, and a shift register for storing the parallel output selected by the mode control circuit. Meanwhile, a decoding apparatus of the invention includes a mode determination circuit for determining the content of the code data representing the video data or run length data, and counters for counting code data representing the video data or the run length data, respectively. The code data includes mode data representing the content thereof, and the mode determination circuit determines the content of the code data in accordance with the mode data.
