    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe jacking method which enables the construction of a large-diameter underground conduit and enables the maintenance of adequate cut-off properties, and a connecting structure of a pipe which can be appropriately used for the pipe jacking method. SOLUTION: In the pipe jacking method for sequentially connecting the pipes 20 with a prescribed length, the pipe 20 is formed by assembling a split concrete segment 20'. In the segment, a steel collar 21 is fixed to the back end of the pipe, and a first cut-off material 23 is precedently inserted in the state of being interposed between the segment and the steel collar. The concrete segment and the steel collar 21 are joined together in a pipelike shape, and the pipe is manufactured in such a manner that the cut-off material 23 continues all around its perimeter. A second cut-off material 24 is inserted into the connecting part of the segment in an interposed manner, and the second cut-off material and the first cut-off material continue into each other. A front end of another pipe is inserted inside the steel collar so that the pipes can be joined together. A third cut-off material 25 is inserted, in an interposed manner, into a part wherein the pips are joined together, so that the second and third cut-off materials can continue into each other.
