      SOLUTION: In the method for continuously casting molten steel, an upper nozzle provided on a bottom part of a tundish to store molten steel, a flow control mechanism to control the flow of the stored molten steel to be fed to a mold, and a dipping nozzle to distribute the fed molten steel are provided, an inner surface in contact with the molten steel of any one of the upper nozzle, the flow control mechanism, and the dipping nozzle is formed of electric-conductive refractory at the temperature not lower than the melting point of steel, and the molten steel is cast while energizing the molten steel flowing inside these members. A gas blow-in unit is provided on one or two or more of the upper nozzle, the flow control mechanism, and the dipping nozzle so that the flow rate Qg (N1/min) of blown-in inert gas satisfies the formula (a), where T.[O] in the formula denotes the total oxygen concentration (ppm) in molten steel. In addition, the flow rate Qg of inert gas is preferably limited to be ≥ 10N1/min.
