    • According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a frequency band (FB) determination method of a wireless access device which provides an access point to enable one or more terminals to wirelessly access a network. The method may comprise the steps of receiving database-related information from database servers which have database related to unused FBs of a television broadcasting band (TVBB), determining a database server to be accessed among the database servers on the basis of the database-related information, requesting the determined database server and receiving information on available FBs, and determining FBs, among the received operating FBs, for the one or more terminals. The operating FBs are determined by the database server so that the wireless access device can coexist with a neighboring homogeneous or heterogeneous wireless access device without mutual interference within the TVBB.

    • Disclosed is a method for smoothly switching between services to allow networks or devices to coexist. The method of switching between services of a television band device (TVBD) network or device includes: receiving a request for switching between services of the TVBD network or device from a coexistence manager (CM); and transmitting a response with respect to the request to the CM, wherein the services include an information service obtaining, by the TVBD network or device, neighbor information of the TVBD network or device from the CM and a management service providing measurement results to the CM by the TVBD network or device, and the response includes an indicator indicating whether or not the request has been successfully processed.

    • One embodiment disclosed in the present description relates to a coexistence manager which can adaptively select channels in a coexistence environment between disparate systems with channel use constraints that inherently exist with use of TVWS. Accordingly, the embodiment disclosed in the present description provides a resource allocation method for a manager device, comprising the steps of: receiving a channel allocation request from a first network or device; determining a second network or device for switching channels based on the benefits of each channel or device, if a channel cannot be assigned to the first network or device; switching the channel used by the second network or device to another channel and raising its priority; and assigning the channel used by the second network or device to the first network or device.

    • According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method in which a server enabling heterogeneous wireless devices to coexist in an equal frequency band selects a master management device among multiple management devices for coexistence. The method for selecting a master management device may include: receiving from a server a request message from a certain management device among the multiple management devices; selecting a master-candidate device among the multiple management devices in response to reception of the request message; transmitting, to the selected candidate device, a request message for requesting the selected candidate device to take charge of a master management device; receiving a response message from the selected candidate device; selecting the selected candidate device as a master management device when the response message includes an acceptance response; and transmitting an announcement message including the result of the selection to the multiple management devices.
