摘要： A process for preparing arrays of two or more heterogeneous catalysts, heterogeneous catalyst precursors, or combinations thereof in a body having preferably parallel through-channels. In this process, a solution, emulsion or dispersion of elements present in the catalyst, catalyst precursor, or combination thereof, is first prepared, and is used to simultaneously or successively coat the channels of the body to produce freshly impregnated moist channels. These channels are then treated and reacted with one or more reactive gases, and the coated body is optionally heated in the presence or absence of inert or reactive gases.

摘要： A process and apparatus for testing material libraries, in particular catalysts, by means of coupled use of at least two analytical methods, preferably IR thermography and mass spectrometry. Owing to the selected arrangement, the disadvantages of the two previously known individual methods are compensated for: the subsequent selectivity determination for selected sections by means of mass spectrometry invalidates the argument against IR thermography, of only being able to determine activities; the rapid integrated determination of potentially “good” materials via IR thermography prevents an excessive loss of time by needing to test all materials of a library successively with the mass spectrometer. The reactor design permits, firstly, the integral recording of the entire reactor through a window which is transparent for the corresponding method and, secondly, permits the simultaneous, automated application of a second analytical method (for example mass spectrometry) to selected materials of a material library, which have been rated as active by the optical method. In the case described, the optical method provides information on the material activity for a set problem, and the second analytical method determines the selectivity of the materials.

C., to an amorphous silica and forming the catalyst at from 50 to 500.degree. 摘要： A process for preparing compounds of the formulae I and II ##STR1## where R.sup.1 and R have the meanings indicated in the specification by an addition reaction of a compound of the formula IIIR.sup.1 OH IIIwith an acetylene or allene of the formula IV or V ##STR2## in the gas phase at elevated temperatures in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst. The catalyst is obtained by impregnating silica with a zinc salt, by a process in which the reaction is carried out at below 200.degree. C. and the catalyst contains, as an active component, an X-ray amorphous zinc silicate or cadmium silicate containing from 1 to 40% by weight, calculated as oxide, of zinc or cadmium, obtainable by applying a salt of zinc or cadmium and an inorganic oxo acid, which salt is decomposable at below 400.degree. C., to amorphous silica and forming the catalyst before the reaction at from 50 to 500.degree. C. or during the reaction in situ at from 50 to 200.degree. C. in the presence of a hydroxyl-containing compound such as water, alkanols of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, diols and polyols having 2 to 6 carbon atoms and 2 or 3 OH groups and low molecular weight carboxylic acids.

摘要： The array of heterogeneous catalysts and/or their precursors, is made up of a body which has, preferably parallel, through-channels and in which at least n channels comprise n different heterogeneous catalysts and/or their precursors, where n is 2, preferably 10, particularly preferably 100, in particular 1000, especially 10,000. A process for preparing arrays comprising the following steps: a1) preparing solutions, emulsions and/or dispersions of elements and/or element compounds of the elements present in the catalyst and/or catalyst precursor and, if appropriate preparing dispersions of inorganic support materials, a2) if appropriate introducing adhesion promoters, binders, viscosity regulators, pH regulators and/or solid inorganic supports into the solutions, emulsions and/or dispersions, a3) simultaneously or successively coating the channels of the body with the solutions, emulsions and/or dispersions, a predetermined amount of the solutions, emulsions and/or dispersions being introduced into each channel to obtain a predetermined composition and a4) if appropriate heating the coated body in the presence or absence of inert gases or reactive gases to a temperature in the range from 20 to 1500° C. to dry, with or without sintering or calcining, the catalysts and/or catalyst precursors.
