摘要： PURPOSE:To grow hairy roots over the whole culture vessel, enable an increase in production per culture medium, facilitate collection and improve production efficiency by placing hairy roots in a net cage and holding the hairy roots in a culture solution. CONSTITUTION:A lid part 2 of a culture vessel 1 is provided with a hermetically sealing plug 7 and a net cage 5 containing hairy roots or differentiated roots, such as potato, sweet potato or tomato, therein is held in a culture solution with a mooring tool 4, such as rope, mounted to the abovementioned plug to culture hairy roots, etc. A feeding port 3 and a vent hole 6 are provided in the upper part of the culture vessel 1 so as to enable feeding of air into the culture solution and discharging thereof from the culture solution.

摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a medium for producing a polysaccharide of lactic acid bacteria, capable of producing a high-purity polysaccharide in high yield by culturing lactic acid bacteria, comprising a complete synthetic medium containing a glucide, a liberated amino acid, a base, a vitamin and a mineral but not a peptone and a peptide. CONSTITUTION: This medium for producing a polysaccharide of lactic acid bacteria comprises a complete synthetic medium obtained by dissolving 2-10% (W/V) of one or more glucides such as lactose, glucose, galactose, fructose, mannose and N-acetylglucosamine, 0.3-3% (W/V) of a liberated amino acid, a base such as adenine, uracil, xanthine and guanine, a vitamin and a mineral in purified water and substantially containing neither peptone nor peptide. Then, the complete synthetic medium is filtered, sterilized and inoculated with a lactic acid bacterium [e.g. Lactococcus lactis ssp cremoris SBT0495 (FERM P-10,053)], the bacterium is cultured at pH6.0 to pH6.5 for about 55 hours and a cultured product is collected from the culture solution to give a high-purity polysaccharide in a high yield.
