    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a mold sealing material be effectively utilizing dust which is generated in a green sand mold casting line and which is usually used for land fill as an industrial waste without wasting it, and to provide the mold sealing material obtained by the method.
      SOLUTION: This method is provided with: a process in which water is added into the dust containing an active clay component generated in the green sand mold casting line and the obtained admixture is kneaded to bring it into a paste-state; or a process in which the water is added into the dust containing the active clay component generated in the treatment for regenerating the waste sand discharged from the green sand mold casting line and the obtained admixture is kneaded to bring it into the paste-state.

    • PURPOSE:To compact the equipment without being affected by heat at the operation by turning a vice upward and shifting vertical splitting metallic molds to each station of inserting of a core, casting, taking-out of a product and coating to a mold in order. CONSTITUTION:The core is inserted into a movable metallic mold 12 in the horizontal condition and the movable metallin mold 12 is ascended and matched with a fixing metallic mold 10. Successively, a vice 7 is turned at 90 deg. angle with a reversal revolutional driving machine 6 and sprues of the vertical splitting metallic molds 10, 12 are press-fit to the upper end of a stoke tube 1. In this condition, molten metal is pressurize-supplied into the vertical splitting metallic molds 10, 12 through a holding furnace 2 and the stoke tube 1 to execute the low pressure casting and the casting is held until the molten metal solidifies. Then, the vice 2 is turned at 180 deg. angle with the reversal revolutional driving machine 6 to separate the movable metallic mold 12 from the fixing metallic mold 10 and also, the cast product is dropped to a product receiving disk to take out the product. Further, the vertical splitting metallic molds 10, 12 are ascended from the lower part with an automatic mold coating machine to execute the coating to the mold and thereafter, the vice 7 is turned at 90 deg. angle and returned back with the reversal revolutional diving machine 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of the solidified shell of a base part at a contacting part of the base part with a product part at the time of pressurizing the boss part with a pressurizing pin so that the broken solidified shell of boss part is not entrapped into the product part by having a structure forming the thinner solidified shell at the part except the contacting part of the boss part with the product part than the other part in the boss part at the time of forming the solidified shell of molten cast iron in the boss part in a die. SOLUTION: The boss part 3 is formed as stepping shape composed of a first and a second boss parts 3a, 3b. The contacting part 6 of the boss part 3 with the product part 1 and the step part 8 as the contacting part between the boss parts 3a, 3b become heat spots, and even the solidified shells are formed at the contacting part 6 and the step part 8, these parts develop thin solidified shell 5. At the time of pressurizing the boss part 3 with the pressurizing pin 2, since the solidified shell 5 at the step part 8 is nearer to the pressurizing pin 2, before transmitting the stress from the pressurizing pin 2 to the solidified shell 5 at the contacting part 6, this stress is transmitted to the solidified shell 5 at the step part 8, and the solidified shell 5 at the step part 8 is broken. Since the broken solidified shell 5 is incorporated in the boss part, it is not entrapped in the product part 1.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the yield and to obtain the whole chilled structure of a casting by casting molten metal containing the specific component into a metallic mold having the specific thermal conductivity under the specific condition. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal containing 3.0-3.8% C, 1.5-2.5% Si is cast by using the water cooled copper alloy metallic mold made of the copper alloy material having 0.2-0.8cal/cm.sec. deg.C the thermal conductivity. As condition of the casting, the pouring of molten metal is started at 170-190 deg.C the metallic mold temp. raises to 200-250 deg.C, water pouring to the metallic mold is started. The metallic mold temp. further raises in little and reaches to the peak and starts, to drop, and when the metallic mold temp. reaches to 210-250 deg.C, the water pouring to the metallic mold is temporarily stopped. After passing the fixed time, the water pouring and interruption of the water pouring are repeated and dropping curve of the metallic mold temp. is finely adjusted, and when the metallic mold temp. reaches to 170-190 deg.C, the casting is taken out from the metallic mold.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a stoke body for low pressure casting apparatus which does not develop the air leakage and reduces the defective casting, by cas-in- casting a collar part of the stoke with a high m.p. metal to form the flange. CONSTITUTION:The silicon nitride-made collar part 8 is integrally formed at the upper position of the stoke 7 made of the same silicon nitride as ceramic. The collar part 8 of the stoke 7 is cast-in with the high m.p. metal-made flange 9 whose upper surface is the same plane as the upper end surface of the stoke 7 and lower surface is lower position than the lower surface of the collar part 8 to form the thicker thickness and outer diameter is larger than the diameter of the collar part 8 to form a columnar state, so as to become integrated form on the outer periphery of the collar part 8. By this constitution, the stoke body for low pressure casting apparatus in which the durable strength to the repeated pressing pressure is high and also, since a heat resistant seal is not used, operation for changing the seal is unnecessary and further, the air leakage is not developed and the defective casting, such as low hole, can be restrained is obtd.
