摘要： There is provided an information processing apparatus including microphones, a parameter setting unit, and an audio signal processing unit. At least one pair of the microphones are provided, and the microphone picks up external audio to convert the external audio into an audio signal. The parameter setting unit sets a processing parameter specifying at least the sensitivity of the microphone according to at least an instruction from a user. Based on the processing parameter, the audio signal processing unit applies processing, including beamforming processing, to the audio signal input from the microphone.

摘要： When a video tape recorder or the like is programmed to record a desired TV program, the programming information is stored in a programming memory. If the remaining storage capacity of the programming memory becomes insufficient to store all programming information, a part of the programming information is transferred to a server via a telephone line and is stored in the program information database of the server. When the video tape recorder has completed a recording operation of a certain TV program, the programming information is sent back from the program information database of the server to the programming memory of the video tape recorder and is stored therein.

When a monitor apparatus 12 is connected to an image processing apparatus 11 via an HDMI cable 13, the image processing apparatus 11 displays an audio format setup screen on the basis of EDID acquired from the monitor apparatus 12. Only the setup items of the audio signal, which the monitor apparatus 12 can receive, are enabled in the audio format setup screen. A user selects a format of the audio signal to be supplied from the image processing apparatus 11 to the monitor apparatus 12 on the audio format setup screen. The present invention is applicable to, for example, an information processing apparatus outputting an audio signal to a monitor.

摘要： A holding structure for a displaying apparatus for a socalled wrap top type electronic apparatus includes a first holding portion and a second holding portion on each lateral side of the displaying apparatus. The first holding portion is turnably connected to one end of a holding member having its other end turnably carried by the main body of an electronic apparatus, whilst the second holding portion is slidably held by a slide guide member provided on the main body of the electronic apparatus for extending in its for and aft direction. A frictional unit is provided at least at one of the swinging portions between the first holding portion and a holding member, between a second holding portion and a slide guide member and between the holding member and the main body of the electronic apparatus for turnably holding the displaying apparaus with respect to the main body of the apparatus while enabling the pivot point of turning of the displaying apparatus with respect to the main body of the electronic apparatus to be moved back and forth with the opening and closure of the displaying apparatus and reducing the amount of shift of the center of gravity of the displaying apparatus to enlarge the size of the displaying apparatus.
