摘要： In an engine having a premixed combustion mode, an EGR flow rate estimating precision is deteriorated at a transient time, and a torque fluctuation and an exhaust gas deterioration are caused. In an engine control apparatus having a premixed combustion mode and a diffusion combustion mode, a sensor detecting an EGR flow rate is arranged in an EGR flow path of the engine, and a cylinder state of the engine is estimated by using an output value of the sensor detecting the EGR flow rate at a time when the engine is in the premixed combustion mode. Since it is possible to accurately detect the EGR flow rate at the transient time and feed back the EGR flow rate at a high response, it is possible to prevent a torque fluctuation and an exhaust gas deterioration.

摘要： In flow detection by a thermal-type flow measuring instrument, a flow rate valve with reduced measurement error due to temperature variation can be obtained even under environment where a fluid temperature and a circuit temperature are different. A measurement error due to temperature variation of the fluid of the thermal-type flow measuring instrument can be corrected on the basis of a temperature of the fluid by adjusting the measurement error to be constant ratio irrespective of the flow rate. On the other hand, a temperature characteristic of the circuit is adjusted to be substantially zero %.

The air flow rate measuring device has a casing provided downstream from an air cleaner element for purifying intake air to the internal combustion engine, a duct connected fluidly to and downstream from the casing, and an air flow meter provided in said duct, for measuring an air flow rate taken into the internal combustion engine. A cross-sectional area of a connection portion between the casing and the duct, taken perpendicularly to the direction of air flow is the minimum cross-sectional area in the duct.

The apparatus is featured in that said heating resistor and said temperature sensing resistor are inserted together with an element for measuring an intake air temperature through an opening formed in the wall of an air passage so that said three elements are located in said air passage and the module is fixed to the air passage. The apparatus is of low cost and small sized.

The system includes a first sensor in contact with the gas and which produces a first electrical output signal indicative of a first condition of the gas. Similarly, a second sensor is also in contact with the gas and produces a second electrical output signal indicative of a second condition of the gas. A processor receives the output signals as input signals from the first and second sensors and determines the type of gas by calculation or from lookup tables stored in memory accessible to the processor. The first and second conditions of the gas are selected from the group of temperature, mass flow rate, temperature and pressure.
