    • A hermetic compressor has a hermetic container, a suction pipe, a compressing mechanism and a suction muffler. The suction pipe includes a large diameter part opening to an inside of the hermetic container and a small diameter part connected to an external refrigerating system, and the suction pipe is fixed with the hermetic container. The compressing mechanism is accommodated inside the hermetic container. The suction muffler forms a muffling space communicated with the compressing mechanism. The suction muffler is provided with an inlet opening which communicates the muffling space with an inside space of the hermetic container and faces closely an opening of the large diameter part of the suction pipe.

    • A sealed compressor according to the present invention comprises an electric element; a compression element; a sealed container; and a suction pipe. The compression element includes a compression chamber, a piston provided inside of the compression chamber, and a suction muffler communicating with the inside of the sealed container and the compression chamber. The suction muffler is laid out such that an opening portion thereof at the sealed container side faces an opening portion of the suction pipe at the sealed container side. The suction muffler includes: a hood section provided in the vicinity of the opening portion of the suction muffler to extend toward the inside of the sealed container, the hood section being configured to collect cooling medium gas discharged from the suction pipe; and an auxiliary hood fastened to the hood section and formed in a manner to increase a collection area of the hood section.

    • The present invention provides a refrigerant compressor which may assure excellent reliability while using low-viscosity refrigerant. The refrigerant compressor is characterized in that the viscosity of oil stored in hermetic container ranges from VG3 to VG8, and the boiling component at 350° C. or over is not less than 10% and not higher than 30% in volume ratio, and the boiling component at 300° C. or less is not less than 50% and not higher than 70% in volume ratio. Accordingly, the input reduction at sliding surfaces can be realized, and the lubricant is evaporated, therefore it is possible to prevent defective compression caused by PET (polyethylene phthalate) or the like deposited on the surfaces of the discharge reed and the like, and to enhance the efficiency and reliability.
