    • The present invention provides an amine based epoxy resin curing agent containing an epoxy resin and an amine compound capable of imparting a high gas barrier performance and a long pot life, in addition to excellent performances which an epoxy resin conventionally possesses, and an epoxy resin composition with a high gas barrier performance and a long pot life, which contains the subject curing agent. Also, the present invention provides an adhesive for laminate with excellent adhesiveness to various polymers, papers, metals, etc., which contains, as a main component, an epoxy resin composition containing an amine based resin curing agent with a high gas barrier performance and a long pot life.The amine based epoxy resin curing agent of the present invention is composed of a reaction product of the following (A), (B) and (D) or a reaction product of the following (A), (B), (C) and (D): (A) m-xylylenediamine or p-xylylenediamine, (B) a polyfunctional compound having at least one acyl group, which is capable of forming an amide group site through a reaction with a polyamine and forming an oligomer, (C) a monovalent carboxylic acid having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms and/or its derivative, and (D) a functional compound having at least one carbonate site represented by the formula (2), which is capable of forming a carbamate site represented by the formula (1) through a reaction with a polyamine:

    • The present invention provides a printing without margins-enabled image forming apparatus that forms toner image matched to the size and position of the conveyed printing material and suppresses waste toner generation. To accomplish this, the present image forming apparatus includes a printing material detection unit that detects orthogonal direction length, conveying direction length, orthogonal direction position, and conveying direction position associated with the conveyed printing material when a printing without margins is selected by the selection unit. In addition, the present image forming apparatus includes a matching unit which, based on the detected length and conveying position, matches the size of the toner image formed on the printing material to the size of the printing material and matches the formation position of the toner image to the position of the printing material conveyed along the conveying path.

    • A system for reducing electromagnetic noise generated by common mode currents in electrical connections of a power inverter and battery in an electric or hybrid electric vehicle. A pair of spaced apart electrical conductors extends along the vehicle chassis and electrically connects the power inverter to the battery. An electrically conductive metal plate is positioned in between the spaced apart electrical conductors. This metal plate is electrically connected to the chassis adjacent at least both of the power inverter and the battery/motor. Besides this, more connecting points are required to keep the distance between two points less than half wavelength of the maximum frequency of EMI requirements, and most preferably this metal plate is electrically connected to the chassis all the way with infinite connecting points. The metal plate is positioned so that the metal plate is closer to the electrical conductors than the space in between the electrical conductors and the vehicle chassis.
