    • The data conversion unit of an image forming apparatus converts input image data into dot image data in which pixel values having gradation information are arranged in a matrix. A storage unit stores optical face tangle error information of each reflecting surface of a rotary polyhedron. An assignment unit assigns a number to each of the plurality of reflecting surfaces, specifies by which of the plurality of reflecting surfaces light emitted for each line of the dot image data is to be reflected and assigns the number of the reflecting surface to each line of the dot image data. A determination unit determines a light emission mode corresponding to the dot image data based on the optical face tangle error information and the number of the reflecting surface. An exposure control unit causes the light source to emit light in accordance with the determined emission mode.

    • A connector assembly includes a metal terminal, a lead wire, a connector housing and a sealing member. The metal terminal defines a longitudinal direction. The metal terminal comprises: a lead-wire connection portion located on a front end side; a counterpart connection portion located on a rear end side; and a press-fit portion located between the lead-wire connection portion and the counterpart connection portion. The press-fit portion comprises a curved portion which curves around an imaginary axis extending in the longitudinal direction. The lead wire comprises an end portion connected to the lead-wire connection portion of the metal terminal and comprising an outer circumferential surface. The connector housing comprises a press-fit hole having a wall surface. The press-fit portion of the metal terminal is press-fit into the press-fit hole. The sealing member provides a seal between the outer circumferential surface of the lead wire and the wall surface of the press-fit hole.

    • A wireless device to be mounted on a license plate of an automobile is composed of a casing, components contained in the casing and an operating member inserted into the casing. A battery for supplying power to the components is selectively turned on or off by controlling an insertion depth of the operating member into the casing. At an initial depth, the power supply is turned on for testing the wireless device at a manufacturing plant. At an intermediate depth, the power supply is turned off to save energy consumption in periods of transportation or storage. At a final depth, the power supply is finally turned on for actual use of the wireless device, and the casing is hermetically closed by the operating member.
