    • A motion responsive portable media player is provided. The portable media player includes a processing unit and at least one vibration part. The vibration part acts as an input unit and operates independently of the input unit. The vibration part includes a swing means and at least one pressure sensor. The swing means is configured for hitting the pressure sensor in response to deliberate shake motions imparted on the portable media player by the user, and the pressure sensor is configured for generating a signal to the processing unit in response to a hit operation thereon. When successively receiving a predetermined number of signals from the pressure sensor during playing of musical files, the processing unit performs a predetermined operation in responsive to the predetermined number of signals.

    • A media playing device is provided. In an exemplary form, the media playing device includes a housing having a cylindrical end with an opening. The media playing device also includes a hollow turning knob. The knob has two protrusions on its inside surface. The media playing device additionally includes a PCB disposed inside the housing with a micro controller unit (MCU) and a pair of switches. The medial playing device further includes an attachment means for attaching the knob to the cylindrical end of the housing and allowing the knob to rotate with respect to the cylindrical end. When the knob is rotated in clockwise direction or counterclockwise direction, one of the two protrusions moves within the opening and can be moved to a position to contact one of the two switches to activate the switch. The activated switch sends a signal to the MCU and the MCU execute an operation.

    • A push button for mounting on a shell includes a button body depressibly engaged in a through hole defined in the shell, a flexible circuit board, a rigid plate attaching to the shell and a conductive spring tab. The flexible circuit board is arranged between the a button body and the rigid plate. The flexible circuit board is brought into contact with the rigid plate. The flexible circuit board is electrically connected to a connector and includes a pair of normally-open contacts. The conductive spring tab is fixed to the flexible circuit board and aligned with the button body. The conductive spring tab is deformable. The button body is configured for being manually depressed so as to urge the conductive spring tab to deform and contact the pair of normally-open contacts, thereby generating a signal transmittable through the flexible circuit board to the connector.
