摘要： A heat exchanger comprises a substantially pillar sheathed heater, a substantially cylindrical case, and a spiral spring. The sheathed heater is accommodated in the case. The spring is provided so as to be wound around an outer peripheral surface of the sheathed heater. Thus, a spiral flow path is formed among an outer peripheral surface of the sheathed heater, an inner peripheral surface of the case, and the spring. The spring functions as a flow velocity conversion mechanism, a turbulent flow generation mechanism, a flow direction conversion mechanism, and an impurity removal mechanism. A water inlet and a water outlet are respectively arranged at positions eccentric from a central axis of the case on a side surface of the case.

摘要： A heating element includes a base substrate, a pair of electrodes, a resistor capable of generating heat, a conductive resin, a terminal member, a hot melt adhesion metal, a hot melt cohesion metal, and a lead wire. The pair of electrodes is provided on the base substrate, and the resistor is formed between the pair of electrodes. The conductive resin is provided on each of the electrodes, and the terminal member is provided on the conductive resin. The adhesion metal is provided on the terminal member, and the cohesion metal forms a molten phase along with the adhesion metal. An end of the lead wire is welded to the cohesion metal. The conductive resin is provided in the vicinity of the adhesion metal so as to be affected by heat of the adhesion metal.

摘要： A washing machine includes a washing tub, a water tub, a drive unit, a feed-water unit, a drain unit, a water softening unit, a pH increasing unit, a pH decreasing unit, and a control unit. The water softening unit is disposed between the feed-water unit and the water tub, and is filled with a weak acid cation exchange material having weak acidic cation exchange groups with a pH from 7.5 to 14 at point of zero charge. The pH increasing unit increases the pH of washing water, and the pH decreasing unit decreases the pH of the washing water. The control unit performs the following operations: controlling the pH increasing unit to increase the pH of the washing water while the washing water is being fed; introducing the washing water with the increased pH to the water softening unit to decrease the hardness of the washing water; introducing the washing water with the decreased hardness to the washing tub; controlling, after the washing water is fed, the pH decreasing unit to decrease the pH of the washing water to a value of 5.5 to 7.0; and introducing the washing water with the decreased pH to the water softening unit.
