摘要： Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radio communication system and method are provided. A transmitter of the MIMO radio communication system includes an STBC encoding unit, a pre-equalization unit, and a transmit antenna unit. The STBC encoding unit receives a transmit data and performs an STBC encoding to output a plurality of encoded signals. The pre-equalization unit performs a pre-equalization process on the plurality of encoded signals to output a plurality of transmit signals. The transmit antenna unit transmits the plurality of transmit signals at different time. Also, a receiver of the MIMO radio communication system which includes a receive antenna unit, an STBC decoding unit, and a data output unit is provided.

The plurality of shift registers sequentially performs a shift operation on input bit-stream. The operator outputs an encoded bit-stream by performing convolutional encoding on an output of the shift register using a generator polynomial corresponding to a predetermined code rate. A transmission encoded bit-stream is created by replacing encoded data for a certain initial bit-stream of the encoded bit-stream with a bit-stream obtained by subsequently performing convolutional encoding on the initial bit-stream.
