摘要： A display apparatus having a light detection function with high accuracy is to be provide. The display apparatus includes a light-receiving device, a first light-emitting device, and an insulating layer. The light-receiving device includes a first electrode, a light-receiving layer, and a common electrode. The first light-emitting device includes a second electrode, a first EL layer, and the common electrode. The light-receiving layer includes a first functional layer, a second functional layer, and an active layer provided therebetween. The first functional layer contains a first substance having a hole-transport property. The second functional layer contains a second substance having an electron-transport property. An end portion of the active layer, an end portion of the first functional layer, and an end portion of the second functional layer are aligned or substantially aligned with one another. The first EL layer includes a third functional layer, a fourth functional layer, and a first light-emitting layer provided therebetween. The third functional layer contains a third substance having a hole-transport property. The fourth functional layer contains a fourth substance having an electron-transport property. The insulating layer includes regions in contact with a side surface of the light-receiving layer and a side surface of the first EL layer.

摘要： An object is to provide a highly reliable display unit having a function of sensing light. The display unit includes a light-receiving device and a light-emitting device. The light-receiving device includes an active layer between a pair of electrodes. The light-emitting device includes a hole-injection layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transport layer between a pair of electrodes. The light-receiving device and the light-emitting device share one of the electrodes, and may further share another common layer between the pair of electrodes. The hole-injection layer is in contact with an anode and contains a first compound and a second compound. The electron-transport property of the electron-transport layer is low; hence, the light-emitting layer is less likely to have excess electrons. Here, the first compound is the material having a property of accepting electrons from the second compound.

摘要： To provide a display device with excellent display quality, in a display device including a signal line, a scan line, a transistor, a pixel electrode, and a common electrode in a pixel, the common electrode is included in which an extending direction of a region overlapping with the signal line differs from an extending direction of a region overlapping with the pixel electrode in a planar shape and the extending directions intersect with each other between the signal line and the pixel electrode. Thus, a change in transmittance of the pixel can be suppressed; accordingly, flickers can be reduced.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a high-resolution display apparatus having a light sensing function is provided. The method for manufacturing a display apparatus includes: a first step of forming a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode; a second step of depositing a light-emitting and light-receiving film over the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode; a third step of depositing a first sacrificial film covering the light-emitting and light-receiving film; a fourth step of etching the first sacrificial film and the light-emitting and light-receiving film to form a light-emitting and light-receiving layer and a first sacrificial layer over the light-emitting and light-receiving layer and to expose the second pixel electrode; a fifth step of depositing an EL film over the first sacrificial layer and over the second pixel electrode; a sixth step of depositing a second sacrificial film covering the EL film; a seventh step of etching the second sacrificial film and the EL film to form an EL layer and a second sacrificial layer over the EL layer; an eighth step of removing the first sacrificial layer and the second sacrificial layer and exposing the light-emitting and light-receiving layer and the EL layer; and a ninth step of forming a common electrode covering the light-emitting and light-receiving layer and the EL layer.
