    • A direct drawing type lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a water-resistant support having provided thereon an image receiving layer, wherein the image receiving layer comprises particles having rough surface composed of core particles having on the surfaces thereof fine particles adhered, and a binder resin comprising a complex composed of a resin containing a siloxane bond in which a silicon atom is connected with an oxygen atom and an organic polymer containing a group capable of forming a hydrogen bond with the resin containing a siloxane bond. According to the use of the direct drawing type lithographic printing plate precursor of the present invention, images free from not only background stain over an entire surface but also dot-like stain can be formed thereon. Also, the direct drawing type lithographic printing plate precursor can prepare a lithographic printing plate providing a great number of printed matter having clear images free from disappearance or distortion of image.

    • Disclosed is electrophotolithographic plate precursor having on a conductive support at least one photoconductive layer containing at least a random copolymer binder resin (P) (i) having a weight average molecular weight of from 5.times.10.sup.4 to 5.times.10.sup.5, (ii) comprising (a) a polymer component comprising particular methacrylate or acrylate monomers, (b) a polymer component containing at least one particular polar group and (c) a polymer component having a Fedors' solution parameter of 9.0 or more and containing at least a particular aprotic polar group, and (iii) having at least a particular polar group at one end of the main chain of the copolymer. The plate precursor may be etched with a combination of an etchant and a wetting water both having no problem in the environmental sanitation, to be formed into an offset printing plate not generating background staining. The printing plate has high printing durability and has excellent rubbing resistance.

    • A lithographic printing plate precursor for ultraviolet ray exposure comprising a support having provided thereon a light-sensitive layer containing fine anatase-type titanium oxide grains and a resin having a siloxane bond represented by the following formula (I): wherein A and B, which may be the same or different, each represents —O—, a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group or a heterocyclic group. The lithographic printing plate precursor can provide a lithographic printing plate only by imagewise exposure to ultraviolet ray without undergoing any wet process, for example, desensitizing treatment, sensitizing treatment or alkaline processing. A method for the preparation of a lithographic printing plate using the lithographic printing plate precursor is also disclosed.
