    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a metal film pattern having excellent adhesion reliability and precision on a resin base material efficiently by using a low concentration metal ion solution.SOLUTION: A resin base material having a metal film pattern is produced by a method including the following steps (a)-(e). (a) A step for printing a pattern of a latent image agent on the surface of the resin base material, (b) a step for generating a metal salt by bringing a solution containing metal ions into contact with a part where the latent image agent is printed, (c) a step for reducing the metal salt by bringing it into contact with an acid processing liquid containing a reductant, (d) a step for forming an electroless nickel plating film at a part where the latent image agent is printed, and (e) a step for making the electroless nickel plating film precipitate on the surface of the nickel plating film.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition and a modification method capable of modifying evenly and sufficiently a polyimide resin surface by accelerating an alkaline hydrolysis reaction on the polyimide resin surface with a prescribed pattern without damaging a printing plate or a printer in a printing process.SOLUTION: A prescribed pattern is printed on the surface of a polyimide resin base material by using an alkaline component, an organic solvent having a hydroxy group and a boiling point of 120°C or higher, and, according to circumstances, a polyimide resin surface modifier containing a water-soluble polymer compound. Then, the organic solvent is removed, and further the polyimide resin surface modifier after removal of the organic solvent is brought into contact with water, to thereby progress modification of the polyimide resin surface.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin base material with a metal pattern formed thereon, excellent in adhesion reliability between a resin and a metal film, having no deterioration in insulation resistivity of a base material, and high in the degree of freedom of pattern design.SOLUTION: Two types or more of polyimide resins different in alkali resistance are laminated, a polyimide resin layer having high alkali resistance at a site where a metal pattern is formed is removed to form a recessed part, and a polyimide resin layer having low alkali resistance is exposed. The exposed polyimide resin layer having low alkali resistance is brought into contact with a latent image agent, and then brought into contact with a metal ion-containing solution to produce a metal salt. The metal salt is reduced to be deposited as metal, and then an electroless plating coating is formed at a metal site.
