    • A recording apparatus builds up positive pressure in its interior with air being supplied by a fan. Filter rejects any dust and dirt contained in the air so they will not enter the apparatus. Humidifier has a water-imbibed water-retaining material in its interior and humidifies the interior of the recording apparatus so that the internal humidity is always maintained at an optimum value. The recording apparatus ensures that there will be no change of the internal humidity that would otherwise deteriorate the performance of the constituent members of the apparatus or reduce the sensitivity of the sensitive material in the recording medium and this contributes to preventing unevenness in the finished image. The recording apparatus is also free from the development of static charge in the areas of contact between the recording medium and the constituent members and from the subsequent occurrence of transport jam and failures in electronic components.

    • A heat sensitive recording material which comprises a support having thereon a heat sensitive layer containing at least color former-contained microcapsules and a color developer, with the heat sensitive layer being formed using a colorless or light colored precursor of a basic dye as the color former, and according to a process which comprises preparing a coating composition by mixing the color former-contained microcapsules with an emulsified dispersion prepared by dissolving at least the color developer into an organic solvent which is slightly soluble or insoluble in water, and then dispersing the solution in an emulsified condition, coating the resulting composition on the support, and then drying the coat, whereby the heat sensitive layer comes to acquire both excellent transparency and high sensitivity to heat.

    • A heat sensitive recording material which is comprised of a support having thereon at least a transparent heat sensitive layer excellent in freshness-keeping property is disclosed. The transparent heat sensitive layer is obtained by coating a solution obtained by mixing a microcapsule containing a colorless or light colored electron donating dye precursor with an emulsion prepared by dispersing a color developer dissolved in an organic solvent, which is slightly soluble or insoluble in water, into an aqueous solution containing both of a surface active agent and water soluble polymer. The stabilities of emulsion and heat sensitive layer are improved by using a partially saponified polyvinyl alcohol as the water soluble polymer and/or adding a metal salts of a salicylic acid derivatives into the coolor developer. A heat sensitivity of the heat sensitive recording material is improved by using a organic solvent having a boiling point lower than 150.degree. C. alone as said organic solvent and/or using a special electron donating dye precursor. An antiscratch property of the heat sensitive layer is able to improve without lowering the transparency by adding a special fillers in the heat sensitive layer.
