    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve ultrasonic vibration joining work or ultrasonic vibration welding work in a conventionally unattainable range, by transmitting ultrasonic vibration by changing its transmission direction to a predetermined angle and at the same time uniformizing vibration amplitude in an output plane of a horn side, thereby locating a position of a joining action part of a horn top end at a position lower than an axial center of an ultrasonic vibrator by predetermined amount.SOLUTION: There is provided a booster which is located between the ultrasonic vibrator and the horn and performs screw connection of both. In the booster, at least one end face of the booster is made to be a slope intersecting an axial direction of the booster, a female screw for screw connection is provided which is perpendicular to the slope and is formed at a position that is eccentric by a predetermined amount from an axial center of the booster in a direction remote from a projection edge of the slope, and further a recessed part is formed between a position of 2λ/8 and a position of 3λ/8 in an axial direction from the projection edge of the slope of the booster on a ridge line of a side opposite to the ridge line where the projection edge of the slope is present. An ultrasonic vibration joining apparatus and an ultrasonic vibration welding apparatus are constituted by using the booster.
