摘要： A porous implant and method of making such is disclosed. A mold form material (164) is created by adhering solid particles together to form a porous network. A liquid phase of a final product is forced through the interstices of the mold form (164), and then most of the liquid material is forced out of the interstices leaving a thin coat (162). Next, the thin coat is cured to produce a thin coat of a polymer such as silicone rubber (162). Next, the mold form material (164) is dissolved out creating a porous structure containing only the cured polymer.

摘要： The methods and apparatus of the present invention permit a stable body pocket (3) to be formed utilizing multiple biocompatible sheets (10, 14) or using only a single biocompatible sheet (10) positioned to create either a potential space or actual space stable body pocket. The sheets (10, 14) have one surface (16, 12) which permits tissue ingrowth and thereby stably secures the sheet (10, 14) in the desired position. The other sheet surface (18, 20) is non-adhering such that adherence to a facing surface does not occur thereby creating a stable body pocket. In addition, a stable body pocket can be formed by using a biocompatible sheet or sheets (10, 14) having a surface (12, 16) that is selectively capable of permitting tissue ingrowth such that some portions of the surface grows into the surrounding tissue and other portions of the surface (18, 20) do not adhere to the surrounding tissue. In this manner, the stable body pocket apparatus has flexible surface portions. Stable body pocket access channels can also be formed. Such channels can provide stable means for communication between the exterior of the body and a natural or created internal body pocket. A method for forming a stable body pocket utilizing fluid pressure introduced into the space where a body pocket is desired is also in accord with the present invention.
