    • An anti-lock brake for in-line skates, skateboards, or the like. The brake is adapted to be selectively secured to the wheel frame proximate the rear wheel and comprises a pivoting tongue member engaging the circumference or ground engaging surface of the rear wheel when an integral braking skid pad is caused to firmly engage the ground. A resilient member resiliently inhibits the tongue member for engaging the rear wheel except during a severe braking operation. The skid pad remains the primary braking mechanism, and the tongue provides a second anti-lock braking mechanism. The tongue of the pivoting member has a concave surface closely conforming to the contour of the rear wheel to minimize tire wear, and further insures that wear does not distort the shape of the wheel. A large contact surface is established when the braking tongue engages the wheel to distribute the heat generated therebetween to reduce the chance of the wheel melting.

    • A kick-boxing exercise device includes a weighted base unit which supports a target section. The target section having an appearance of a head, neck and torso of a human. The target section is vertically adjustable on the base unit and includes a plurality of target areas. A plurality of LEDs are mounted within the target areas which illuminate as the specific target areas are to be punched or kicked by a user. A foam pad is attached to the target section for cushioning the punch or kick of the user. An electronic control unit illuminates the LEDs in a preprogrammed punch or kick sequence. Various skill levels are provided to sequentially illuminate the LEDs at various speeds. The electronic control unit includes a scoring system which allows the user to evaluate his or her performance. A sensor detects contact with the target section and triggers illumination of the next LED in the sequence. A sensor adjustment dial allows the sensitivity of the sensor to be adjusted by the user.

    • A low-impact aerobic exercise device includes a base which supports a generally vertically extending frame member and an angularly extending brace member. Two spaced levers are pivotally mounted to the vertical frame member and have pedals mounted on their outer ends for independent reciprocal pivotal movement when used as a stair-stepping type of exercise device. Two resilient elastomeric members are adjustably attached between the brace member and the two levers to provide vertical downward resistance when the user pivotally oscillates the levers in an up-and-down motion. A handle is attached to the vertical member for grasping by the user. An insert can be removably mounted between the lever pedals to provide a single continuous platform joining the two levers, enabling the lever to be used as a rebounding type of exercise device. The frame member is pivotally attached to the vertical frame member, enabling the device to be moved to a compact collapsed position for storage.
