    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give different various appearances to a glass ceramic product giving a cooking surface while having a characteristic such as temperature difference resistance, chemical resistance or the like . SOLUTION: The translucent or opaque colored ceramic product has (1) an adjustable light transmittance being ≤ 15% in a visible region when measured with a sample having 4 mm thickness, and (2) an upper surface with no crack or scratch and has impact resistance in which a height to cause breakage is 18 cm or more at a ball drop test using a steel ball of 200 g and (3) the temperature difference resistance (TUF) of 500°C or higher, and (4) crystallinity where the inside of the glass ceramic product consists of a keatite mixed crystal as a main crystal phase and the remaining glass phase part is less than 8 wt.%, and (5) vitreous surface layer which contains substantially no quartz-containing mixed crystal and has 0.5-2.5 μm thickness and suppresses chemical reaction, and (6) rich components which are contained in the remaining glass phase at the inside of the glass ceramic and the vitreous surface layer, and are Na 2 O, K 2 O, CaO and BaO and a fining agent of 0.2-1.6 wt.% in the sum total.
