摘要： In one embodiment, a remote control interface is provided that allows a user to interact with a programmable multimedia controller from a mobile device having a touch screen display, in a largely "head-up" manner, while providing visual feedback on the mobile device to confirm touch input. The user may enter touch input, including taps, holds swipes and pans, on the touch screen display. Such touch input may be processed and communicated to the programmable multimedia controller, which displays an onscreen display menu system on a display device coupled to the programmable multimedia controller. The user may direct the majority of his or her attention to the on-screen display menu system on the display device. However, some visual feedback may also be displayed on the touch screen display of the mobile device that is specific to the type of touch input received on the touch screen display.

摘要： In one embodiment, a technique for controlling one or more devices within a physical room of a structure is provided. One or more devices in the structure are coupled, either directly or indirectly, to a programmable multimedia controller configured to issue control commands which, when implemented, change the state of the devices. A virtual room-based user interface is displayed on a display screen. The virtual room- based user interface may include one or more virtual rooms, each virtual room including a substantially photo-realistic depiction of a portion of the structure, including substantially photo-realistic depictions of one or more devices located within the portion of the structure. In response to the selection of a particular substantially photo-realistic visual depiction, the programmable multimedia controller may issue control commands which, when implemented, change the state of a particular device. The appearance of the particular virtual room may be updated to reflect the changed state.

The UI includes a plurality of UI tiles that each correspond to a respective video tile of the tiled video display.
