    • Six input channels, to which are allocated 5.1-channel surround signals from a plurality of input sources, are grouped into a surround channel group, and these six input channels are connected to corresponding ones of six surround buses in a one-to-one relationship. Thus, merely grouping the input channels into a surround channel group allows the signals of the individual input channels (5.1-channel surround signals) to be taken out via a plurality of output destinations (5.1-channel speakers) corresponding to the surround buses. Once an instruction is given for changing a value of a parameter, the parameter is controlled in a ganged fashion in all of the input channels of the surround channel group except for an LFE input channel of the surround channel group.

    • An audio signal processing apparatus performs audio signal process composed of a plurality of channels each having parameters used in the audio signal process. The audio signal processing apparatus has a plurality of channel strips, each being assigned with a channel and being provided with controls for adjusting values of the parameters of the assigned channel, and has a plurality of storing sections having different priorities relative to each other, each storing section being capable of storing a setting indicative of a channel set to a channel strip for assignment thereto. A changing section changes a setting stored in a storing section. A clearing section clears a setting stored in a storing section. An assigning section is activated when a setting stored in one of the plurality of the storing sections is changed by the changing section or cleared by the clearing section, then refers to all of the storing sections that currently store the settings for a channel strip, and assigns a channel to the channel strip according to the setting stored in a storing section having the highest priority among the storing sections referred to by the assigning section.

    • A method is designed for controlling windows of a mixer device including a processing unit, an operating panel, and a touch panel provided on the operating panel, the touch panel functioning as both a display part for displaying windows and an input part for inputting instructions. The method is performed by the processing unit as follows. First, a determining step determines whether or not any window has already been displayed on the touch panel when an instruction to display a new window is made. Then, a first displaying step displays the new window when no window has already been displayed, and otherwise displays, when a window has already been displayed, the new window at foreground while displaying at least a title bar of a window that has already been displayed. Further, a second displaying step displays a close button only on a foreground window among windows displayed on the touch panel and deactivates display of a close button for each window behind the foreground window.
