SOLUTION: The high pressure steam sterilizer does not substantially count the pulses when the air passes, through the use of a prescribed threshold by utilizing a difference between the pulse width to be issued from the flow rate sensor when only the water passes and the pulse width to be issued from the flow rate sensor when the air passes.
