    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card, which has high securability and discriminability and is given higher antifalsifying effects by a method wherein the pattern of a magnetic bar code provided on the magnetic card is made different from an authentic code pattern, and, in addition, the authentic code pattern can be stably read, and the judging method of the authenticity of the magnetic card. SOLUTION: In the magnetic card 1, a magnetic recording layer 3 made of a magnetic substance and a magnetic bar code 4 made of magnetic substances are provided on a board 2. The magnetic bar code 4 is formed by arranging high magnetic bars 5 with higher coersive force and low magnetic bars 6 with coersive force lower than that of the high magnetic bar in the predetermined order. Under normal state, the high magnetic bars 5 and the low magnetic bars 6 are magnetized, resulting in constituting a dammy magnetic bar code. In order to judge authenticity, the low magnetic bars 6 are demagnetized so as to collate the code pattern of an authentic magnetic bar code by the high magnetic bars 5 with a memorized pattern recorded in advance, resulting in judging the magnetic card as the authentic one when both the patterns coincide with each other.
