    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and an operation method therefor.
      SOLUTION: In this fuel cell system and the operation method therefor, a carbon monoxide adsorption device is equipped in the rear end of a shift reactor, carbon monoxide not sufficiently removed from the shift reactor at the time of start-up of the fuel cell system is removed from the carbon monoxide adsorption device, and fuel is supplied to drastically reduce a time spent for the start-up. Thereby, not only the start-up time of the fuel cell system can be drastically reduced without poisoning of an electrode catalyst of a fuel cell by using the carbon monoxide adsorption device, but also the fuel cell system can be economically produced and operated not to mention that a large amount of adsorbent is not required to reduce a volume because using the adsorbent only at the time of the start-up of the carbon monoxide adsorption device. Because the carbon monoxide adsorbent inside the carbon monoxide adsorption device can be regenerated and used, economical efficiency of the device can be doubled.
