    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for providing information so that power consumption in a digital broadcast receiving terminal is reduced and a user uses an appropriate antenna depending on a situation. SOLUTION: This apparatus is a digital broadcast receiving terminal having at least one second antenna provided fixedly, and includes: at least one first antenna detachably assembled with the outside of the terminal; a signal-receiving condition sensing unit for sensing the signal-receiving condition of a digital broadcast signal inputted from any one of the second antenna and the first antenna; and a control unit for notifying the user of an antenna, between the second antenna and the first antenna, judged as more appropriate for receiving the digital broadcast signal in accordance with the sensed result.
