摘要： An oil filter includes a housing having a case and a cap detachably engaged with each other and a filter element detachably contained in the housing. An oil-draining hole is provided at a bottom portion of the case. The oil filter further includes a plug member for opening and closing the draining oil hole and a spring member for operating the plug member according to an engagement state of the case and the cap. At an intermediate condition of the engagement state of the case and the cap, the plug member moves to the cap side to open the oil-draining hole. Therefore, before changing the filter element, oil staying in the oil filter can be readily securely discharged to the outside.

摘要： An engine oil filter has an upper cap and a lower case or plate, which are engageable with each other through a projecting portion and a groove portion. In one mode, the projecting portion is inserted into a first longitudinal groove wall and moved along a contact surface of a first skewed groove wall, whereby the cap and the case are moved and fitted together in an axial direction. As axial movement caused by relative rotation between the cap and the case takes place, an O-ring is tightly fitted therebetween at a fixed seal position. This engagement process applies no excessive force to the O-ring so that a sealed state of high reliability is provided.

摘要： An element replacement type filter accommodates an element assembly that includes a filter element within a casing formed from a first casing member and a second casing member which are mutually screwable by relative rotation, and provides an anti-loosening mechanism between the first casing member and the second casing member. The anti-loosening mechanism comprises a regulating portion that is provide on an outer peripheral side of the first casing member; and a leaf spring member made of metal that is provided elastically deformable in a radial direction of the second casing member, with a base end side thereof fixed to an outer peripheral side of the second casing member. The leaf spring member has a free end side that is provided with a contact portion, which contacts the regulating portion due to relative rotation of the first casing member and the second casing member.

摘要： The invention provides a drain mechanism of a fluid filter in which a heated fluid is not splashed on a worker at a time of discharging the fluid such as a time of exchanging an element, and can inhibit dusts or the like from being mixed from an external portion at a time of normal use. A drain mechanism 7 of the present invention is provided with a cap 3 engaged with a case 2 and having a drain hole 15, a drain member (a drain plug 20) detachably mounted to the cap from an outer side thereof and closing the drain hole, a valve member 25 provided in an inner side of the cap and closing the drain hole, and an elastic means (a spring 11) for energizing the valve member in a direction of closing the drain hole. In a state in which the drain member is detached from the cap, a residual fluid within a housing is discharged by a tubular draining jig 30 inserted to the drain hole.
