    • Novel substituted hydrazide derivatives of 7-(substituted)amino-3-methylene-cepham-4-carboxylic acids expressed by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents alkyl containing at least 3 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, or optionally substituted aryl, and one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 represents hydrogen with the other being hydrogen or the same as R.sub.1 ; or R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 form a heterocyclic ring optionally through a hetero atom together with the attached nitrogen and R.sub.3 represents hydrogen atom; and Z.sub.1 represents amino or protected amino; and acid addition salts thereof, which are useful as intermediates for synthesizing cephalosporin antibiotics. These compounds can be prepared in high yields from the corresponding substituted hydrazide derivatives of 6-substituted amino-1-oxide-2, 2-dimethyl-penam-3-carboxylic acids, which are readily available at low costs, by heating them in the presence of a thermal rearrangement promotor such as organic sulfonic acids and optionally in the further presence of a tertiary nitrogen-containing cyclic compound, followed if desired by splitting off the amino-protecting group and converting the product to acid addition salts.

    • An ink cartridge includes a storage portion, a housing, a movable member, a support portion, and an intermediate member. The storage portion has flexibility and is configured to store ink. The housing that covers the storage portion and at least a central portion of the storage portion is fixed to the housing. The movable member contacts with the storage portion in the housing, and is rotatable in accordance with changes in a position of contact with the storage portion. The support portion is provided in the housing and includes a pair of engagement portions. The pair of engagement portions are disposed at an interval therebetween and rotatably support the movable member. The intermediate member is disposed between the movable member and the storage portion.

    • A liquid jetting apparatus includes: a liquid jetting head which has a liquid jetting surface being formed with a nozzle to jet a liquid to a recording medium; a wiper which makes contact with the liquid jetting surface to bend and wipes away the liquid adhered to the liquid jetting surface; a movement mechanism which moves the wiper relative to the liquid jetting surface in a wipe direction along the liquid jetting surface; a movement controller which stops the wiper, which has wiped away the liquid adhered to the liquid jetting surface by moving relative to the liquid jetting surface in the wipe direction, at a predetermined stop position; and a separating mechanism which separates the wiper stopped by the movement controller from the liquid jetting surface in a separating direction intersecting the liquid jetting surface.

    • An inkjet recording apparatus, method and computer readable medium are provided. The inkjet recording apparatus includes a recording head comprising a nozzle formation surface having a plurality of ink discharging nozzles formed thereon; a wiper which has elasticity and wipes the nozzle formation surface by pressingly contacting against the nozzle formation surface of the recording head; and a moving unit which moves at least one of the recording head and the wiper to wipe the nozzle formation surface at a first relative speed and moves the at least one of the recording head and the wiper to separate from each other at a second relative speed, which is less than the first relative speed. The method includes moving at least one of the inkjet recording head and the wiper relative to each other so that the wiper wipes the nozzle formation surface at a first relative speed; and separating the wiper from the inkjet recording head at a second relative speed, which is less than the first relative speed.
