    • The present invention regards a pyrotechnic countermeasure (15, 25) dispensing system (1) comprising a set of contacting members (27, 27') of a launching electronic circuitry (19). A first magazine (A) is mountable in said housing (23) in such way that a contacting body (41) of each pyrotechnic countermeasure (25) being in electrical communication with a dedicated contacting member (27) of the launching electronic circuitry (19), when the system (1) is ready to use. A central electronic unit (3) is associated with the launching electronic circuitry (19) for actuating of the pyrotechnic countermeasure (25) accommodated in the first magazine (A) in dependence upon a detected threat (29). A second magazine (B) designed for accommodation of at least one intelligent pyrotechnic countermeasure (15) is mountable in contact with the launching electronic circuitry (19) so that a contacting body (41) of said intelligent pyrotechnic countermeasure (15) will be set in electrical communication with a dedicated contacting member (27) of the launching electronic circuitry (19) via an adapter device (33, 33', 34).

    • A dispenser for storing and launching countermeasures from an aircraft, comprising an elongate body provided with at least one launch opening adapted for storing the countermeasures in cartridges, where the dispenser comprises a pivot able cover arranged in the launch opening, where the cover, in a closed state, is adapted to close the launch opening such that the cartridges are covered. The cover is adapted to open when a force from a fired countermeasure is acting on a mounting plate. The advantage of the invention is that a cover covering the countermeasure scan be opened in a fully mechanical way, by the use of the reactional force of the countermeasure. This allows for a simple, reliable and cost-effective solution.

    • The invention relates to a system for protection of a vehicle (2) against a possible threat (4) approaching the vehicle. The system comprises a sensor (6) that detects the possible threat, a control unit (8) that evaluate the possible treat and transmit processed information, a counter-measure apparatus (2), and a launcher (10) that receives a launching signal from the control unit for launching the counter-measure apparatus towards (D1) the threat when the treat is confirmed. The counter-measure apparatus (2) comprises a guiding unit (12) by which the counter-measure apparatus (2) is guided towards the threat (4) based on the processed information of the threat that is continuously received via the control unit (8), during acceleration of the counter-measure apparatus (2). The counter-measure apparatus further comprises a counter-measure element (14,18) that is launched in a direction (D2) against the threat (4) by means (16) for releasing and activating the counter-measure element (14,18), when the counter- measure apparatus (2) has reached within the vicinity of the threat (4), such that the counter-measure element (14,18) can defeat the threat (4). The invention also relates to an apparatus and a method for protection of a vehicle against a possible threat approaching the vehicle.
