摘要： PURPOSE: To update data without preparing a new recording medium by providing a recording medium such as a card, a label or the like having an erasable two-dimensional bar code, suitably erasing the code of the medium by an encoding means, and to be recordable. CONSTITUTION: A photograph, a text permanently recorded and capable of being read by a person, and two-dimensional information 18 printed with an erasable ink are formed on a card such as, for example, a health card 16. The information 18 is formed by n encoding means 12. The means 12 has a processing means 24 for encoding a set of two-dimensionally patterned data input from an input means 22 such as a keyboard or the like into a two-dimensional pattern, and a transfer means 26 such as a printer for detecting the presence of machine readable data to erase the data detected by coating a recording area with an erasing fluid in response to a drive signal. The card 16 is recognized by a recognition means 14 having a conversion means 28 and a composite means 30.

Thus, the modulation degraded analog signal can be read well and the reliability of the scanner can be improved.

The operator visually observes a laser beam with increased visibility, and positions this laser beam on a symbol desired to be read over a work distance range long extended to housings 12a and 12b. With that, the laser scanner can read a symbol without using any optical targeting mechanism.

When this laser beam is scanned across a bar code, the detector 120 detects divergent light indicating a light area of the bar code and transmits a signal corresponding to this light. Thus, the bar code is read.

The array 30 includes a flexible base having two degree of mechanical freedom for providing two resonating states, that is, low frequency (y) scanning for the raster pattern, and high frequency (y) scanning for the full directional pattern. Also, the array 30 is driven by an electromagnetic force generated by a coil 44 surrounding a permanent magnet 42 fixed to the array 30.

摘要： PURPOSE: To validify a recording body by encoding information, and improve the reliability. CONSTITUTION: A system 10 have an encoder 12 and a recognizing means 14, and the encoder 12 prepares a recording body 16. The superposition of a photograph becomes the encoding of data in a two dimensional pattern 18. The two dimensional pattern 18 is read by the recognizing means 14, and an output signal to express the data which is encoded into the pattern 18 is emitted. A processing means 24 encodes a set of data into the two dimensional pattern 18, and emits a transfer driving signal which controls an indicator transfer to the recording body 16. A transfer means 26 transmits the image of the two dimensional pattern 18 to the recording body 16, by responding to the transfer driving signal. The recognizing means 14 converts the image on the recording body 16 into an electric signal to express the graphic mark, and decodes the electric signal into a decoder output signal by a decoder 30.
