摘要： In a boiler or an industrial furnace, a temperature detecting sensor is mounted at the heat absorbing side of a heat pipe of a waste heat recovery device which is disposed in part of the path of exhaust gas. With an output signal of the temperature detecting sensor, a flow rate control valve is controlled, and a liquid discharging shield is utilized to maintain the flow rate of the liquid to be supplied in correspondence with the flow rate of the liquid to be discharged. The effective area of the heat pipes coming in contact with the liquid is varied to maintain the temperature at a heat absorbing side higher than the dew point of sulfur oxide, thus preventing the heat pipes from corrosion, exhaust ducts and so on, and allowing heat absorbing operation to be performed in accordance with the exhaust gas discharge temperature.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the heat recovery efficiency while the corrosion due to sulfur oxide is avoided by a method wherein the feeding rate and water level in a water passage are controlled in response to the surface temperature of the endothermic side of a heat pipe in the captioned recovery device of the waste heat produced in boiler or the like. CONSTITUTION:When the surface temperature of the endothermic side of the heat pipe 3 lowers due to the fall of combustion exhaust gas temperature, the signal from a thermosensor 8 is compared with the set value in a comparator 82 and a flow control valve V is throttled by means of the output from the comparator 82. When the feeding rate of water to a feed water heater 1 decreases, the discharging rate of water from an orifice 13 increases temporarily to exceed the discharging capacity of a drain pipe 7. Excess water is absorbed in an excess water receiver 14 and the water level lowers to the balance point. When once the balance is established, the feeding rate equals to the discharging rate and the velocity of the stream in the feed water heater 1 becomes constant with the aid of the straightening action of a baffle 15. In such a manner as described above, the surface temperature of the heat pipe 3 is kept above the dew point of steam containing sulfur oxide.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent corrosion by sulfur oxides in a waste heat recovering apparatus, by keeping the temperature on the surface of heat pipes on their heat absorbing side always at a level higher than the dew points of sulfur oxides by use of variable conductance heat pipes which are capable of keeping the temperature near the heat absorbing sections of the heat pipes constant irrespective of variation in the temperature of a heat receiving source. CONSTITUTION:When the load of a boiler 41 is lowered, for instance, in the night, the temperature Tg of waste combustion gas is also lowered. At a heat absorbing section 2, in particular, the temperature drop is great since heat is absorbed therefrom, and the temperature at the outlet portion of the heat receiving section 2 is lowered near to the temperature of the dew points of sulfur oxides SOx. In this state, vapor pressure in heat pipes 3 is lowered, so that the pressure of an incondensable gas G is raised relatively. Resultantly, the theoretical boundary surface BS drops near to the bottom of a feed water heating section 1 and the effective heat emitting length of the heat pipe 3 is reduced to zero, so that feed water cannot be heated any more in the section 1. Under such circumstances, however, the temperature of the heat pipes 3 themselves can be kept at 140 deg.C by the heat of waste combustion gas, so that it is enabled to avoid condensing of sulfur oxides on the surfaces of the heat pipes 3.
