    • A fuel tank apparatus for a motorcycle is generally disposed between bilateral body frames of the motorcycle, in a standing state thereof, and comprises a tank body, a tank cover formed independently from the tank body, an oil supply port formed to an upper portion of the tank body and an inlet tube provided for the oil supply port so as to project upward from an inlet tube insertion hole formed to the tank cover and closed by an inlet cap, wherein a cylindrical inlet sleeve 61 made of an elastic material is mounted to the inlet tube insertion hole 52, the inlet sleeve 61 is formed with a fitting groove 62 at an outer periphery of the inlet sleeve so as to extend in a circumferential direction thereof, the fitting groove 62 is fitted to an inner periphery of the inlet tube insertion hole 52 in a manner that an inner diameter portion of the inlet sleeve 61 is tightly inserted in an outer periphery of the inlet tube 45 so that a lower end portion of the inlet sleeve 61 abuts against an upper surface of the tank body 31, and the inlet tube 45 is provided at an outer peripheral surface thereof with a stopper member 70 mounted to the inlet tube 45 at a portion above the tank cover 32 to project in a horizontal direction.

    • A fuel tank system (5) of a motor bicycle according to the present invention comprises: a tank main body (26) made of a synthetic resin, which is formed into a reverse U-letter shape in its longitudinal section (27) in a manner of riding on a front head portion of a vehicle-body frame (2); a fuel supply port (50) which is provided on an upper portion of the tank main body (26); a receiving pan portion (51) which is provided in the fuel supply port; a relay joint (80) which is arranged in a vicinity of a bottom portion of the tank main body and whose attaching direction is the substantially same as an attaching direction of the receiving pan portion; and a drain pipe (85) which comprises a soft hose, passes through an interior of the tank main body, and connects between the receiving pan portion and the relay joint.
      Further, a fixing member for fixing the tank main body to the vehicle-body frame is formed out of a rigid material independently from the tank main body, a fixing portion on the tank main body side of the fixing member has a shape formed so as to surround a fixture plate of the relay joint, and the fixing member has a shape in its side view such that at least part of the fixing member is situated on a position lower than the relay joint when the fixing member is fixed to the tank main body.

    • A motorcycle is provided with a body height adjustor (18) capable of adjusting the body height of the motorcycle by changing lengths of front suspensions (8,9) and a rear cushion unit (14). The body height adjustor includes a first hydraulic jack (50) provided for the front suspensions, a second hydraulic jack (49) for the rear cushion unit and a body height adjusting unit (15) to transmit hydraulic pressure of hydraulic fluid in the rear cushion unit to the fisrt and second hydraulic jacks through hydraulic hoses. With the body height adjustor, the following equation is satisfied, X ≦ LH/5 x 10
      where
      X: difference between stroke changing quantities on an axis of the front wheel and an axis of the rear wheel;
      L: distance between axes of the front and rear wheels, so called wheel base;
      H: height of the head lamp from a ground base.
      The rear cushion unit is provided with a rear oil damper (26) and a coil spring (27) against which the second hydraulic jack abuts and the initial load of the coil spring is changed by the hydraulic pressure in the rear cushion unit. The second hydraulic jack is movable in a direction towards the coil spring with respect to the rear oil damper to change the initial load of the spring. The first hydraulic jack is provided with a cylinder chamber (55), a piston (56) incorporated in the cylinder chamber and an spring (81) disposed between an end portion of the cylinder chamber and the piston so as to urge the piston in a direction opposite to a direction of hydraulic pressure.
