摘要： Herein is disclosed a magnetic resonance imaging probe, having a probe shaft including a magnetic resonance antenna, and a spring tip attached to a distal end of the antenna. In particular, the probe shaft includes a core (1550) of a non-magnetic material, a first insultaor (1554) covering the core (1550) ans a shield layer (1564) surrounding at least a part of the first insulator. A proximal spring assembly (1580) or a modified shield layer (1565) is attached to a distal end of the shield layer, a joining segment is attached to the distal end of the proximal spring assembly (1580) or the modified shield layer (1565), respectively, and a magenetic resonance imaging coil (1502) is attached to the joining sement. A spring tip (1514) is attached to the distal end of the imaging coil (1502). The probe may be used as a guidewire.
