    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid coming into a semi-engagement condition, and make the connector compact by letting a see-saw type lever piece be so constituted as to be obliquely moved by a waiting side guide projected piece and a movable side guide in response to an engagement condition. SOLUTION: When both a male side connector housing 10 and a female side connector housing 20 are slid in order to be shifted to an engagement condition, the front, inclined surface 45a of a movable side guide 45 abuts against the inclined surface 17C of a waiting side guide projected piece 17, and pushes the movable side guide 45 up so as to lead it to an upper flat surface 17a. A see-saw type lever piece 40 is tilted forward and a rear abutting piece 44 is raised up, and the rear abutting piece abuts against the front side end part 31 of a spring piece 30. When the female side connector housing 20 is inserted into the depth of the male side connector housing 10, the guide 45 passes through the upper flat surface 17a, and the lever piece 40 is turned out to be in a horizontal condition because of the mobility of a support part 41. The abutting surface 4.5b of the movable side guide 45 is brought into contact with the abutting surface 17e of the waiting side guide projected piece 17 so as to be fitted in for being locked with each other.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably carry out incomplete fitting detection. SOLUTION: A spring member 8 having a toggle function is attached in the ceiling face of a male housing 1. An engaging arm 13 having engaging projected strips 16, 17 between which the spring member 8 is inserted to be engaged is installed in a female housing 2 in a manner the arm can be flexibly deformed. When the female housing 2 is fitted in a male housing 1, at first the spring member 8 is inserted between the engaging projected strips 16, 17 and engaged. When the female housing 2 is continuously pushed in, the spring member 8 is flexibly deformed toward the neutral position and the pushing force is removed by that time, the female housing 2 is pushed back receiving the spring force applied toward the front side from the spring member 8. When the spring member 8 is deformed and pushed to the position passing the neutral position, the spring member 8 is flexibly deformed in the reverse direction and consequently the female housing 2 is drawn to the deep side and fitted at the regular position. The housing is never left in the incompletely fitted state.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connector which can make an engagement by a simple constitution by inserting a female side connector provided with a flexible arm having both a locking projection and a guide projection, into a mail side connector provided with a push-bake spring and a guiding inclined surface. SOLUTION: When it is kept up that a female side connector is inserted in the inside of the hood pear 11 of a male side connector 10, guide projections 21b at both side surfaces of a flexible arm 21 ride on a guiding inclined surface 13a, the rear end of the flexible arm 21 is raised, a locking projection 21a is advances in a spring housing chamber 12 via a communication window 12a, and when it is furthermore inserted, the locking projection 21a abuts against a push-back spring 30, so that the spring is thereby compressed. When a normal engagement condition is established, the guide projection 21b rides across the guiding inclined surface 13a, the flexible arm 21 is restored to its initial horizontal condition, locking between the locking projection 21a and the push-back spring 30 is released, a spring reaction is also released, and the guide projection 21b abuts against the guiding inclined surface 13a to each other, so that they are thereby in an engagement condition.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the spring housing mechanism which can eliminate a need for a jig, and can reduce the number of component parts for a housing case by supporting a curved part projected backward, and thereby housing it. SOLUTION: A traversing part 11 in front of a spring member 10 is faced to an opening at the rear end of a housing chamber 22 in a male side connector 20 so as to be inserted in. When it is pushed in with its curved portions 13a supported, the front traversing part 11 passes through a rance 23 first, and rear traversing parts 12 are to be faced to the lower surface of the rance 23 thereafter. In this case, the traversing parts 12 pushes up a wedge shaped projection 23b while passing through the rance 23. When the spring member 10 is furthermore pushed in the inside of the housing chamber 22, the rear traversing parts 12 pass through the rance 23, and the traversing parts 12 are locked at the rance 23, so that the traversing parts are thereby retained. By this constitution, all things that an operator has to do, is only to push the rear ends of curved portions 13a and 13a therein, and there is no need for using any jig and the like in such a way that the rear end of the spring member 10 is pushed in across the rance 23.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal of which terminal lance does not plastically deform even if large force is added in the removing direction. SOLUTION: A terminal lance 23 includes a lance base 24 which is formed so as to project diagonally backward in the terminal inserting direction, and a lance auxiliary projection 25 which is formed so as to project on the end of the lance base 24. In the condition that the end of the lance base 24 is contacted with the inner circumference face 11A of a cavity 11, the lance auxiliary-projection 25 is engaged with a fixing face 14 of a busing 10. Thus, the terminal lance 23 can not be only receiver force in the removing direction by fixing the lance auxiliary-projection 25 to the fixing face 14, but also receiving force orthogonal to the removing direction by contacting the end of the lance base 24 to the inner circumference face of the cavity, and therefore the terminal prevents the terminal lance 23 from bending up.
