摘要： Three male terminals are inserted respectively into terminal receiving chambers in a male connector housing and a bus bar is inserted into the terminal receiving chambers through a through-hole. As a result, the insertion side portion of the bus bar is press-fitted in reception grooves in bus bar press-fitting portions disposed beneath the through-hole. Thus, the insertion side portion of the bus bar is received in the reception grooves in the three male terminals, and is mechanically fixed to and electrically connected to the male terminals, so that three insulated wires connected respectively to the male terminals are connected together only at the male connector housing.

摘要： A watertight connector is provided to create a reduced degree of connection resistance. The connector includes a female housing 20 to be connected with a male housing 10. A seal 30 is provided on the front surface of the female housing 20, and is held by a seal holder 40. The seal holder 40 presses the seal 30 against the front surface of an accommodating portion 11 to adhere the seal 30 to front opening ends of cavities 13 before the housings 10, 20 are connected with each other. Thereafter, tabs 23 penetrate the seal 30, and the seal 30 adheres to the outer surfaces of the tabs 23 to provide sealing between the cavities 13. Accordingly, during the connection of the housings 10, 20, resistance resulting from the sealing between the cavities 13 is only sliding-contact resistance created between the outer surfaces of the tabs 23 and the seal member 30.

摘要： PURPOSE:To insert a terminal metal piece into a terminal accommodation chamber with a low inserting force. CONSTITUTION:In a housing 1 a terminal accommodation chamber 12 is formed for insertion of a terminal metal piece 2, and a retainer 3 is installed therein in such a way as intersecting the chamber 12. In the chamber 12 a lance 9 is also formed which can be retained with the metal piece 2 and make deflective deformation, and an overhang 9c is formed at the lance 9. The over hang 9c is pressed by the retainer 3 in the condition that the retainer 3 is opening the chamber 12, and thereby the lance 9 is deformed in such a direction as retreating from the chamber 12. Accordingly the lance 9 has been deformed in the retreating direction prior to insertion of the metal piece 2, so that the amount of deflection is smaller than in the case with deformation from the natural state, and it is possible to reduce the inserting force by a portion corresponding to the decreased amount of deflection.

The end part 14a of the tube 14 covers a circular projection part 13a or an oval projection part formed on the barrel 13.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector which can reduce its fitting resistance. SOLUTION: In a female housing 10 to be fitted with a male housing 20, a seal member 30 placed at the front of the female housing 10 is held with a seal holder 40. Before fitting the housings 10, 20 together, the seal holder 40 presses the seal member 30 on the front of an accommodation part 11 so as to keep contact between the seal member 30 and an opening edge at the front of the cavities 13. Then, tabs 23 penetrate into the seal member 30 so as to keep contact between the periphery of the tabs 23 and the seal member 30, followed by forming a seal between the cavities 13. By this, at fitting the housings 10, 20 together, the resistance caused by the seal between the cavities 13 is only the slide resistance between the periphery of the tabs 23 and the seal member 30 and, by reducing the slide surface, the slide resistance is reduced. Consequently, this waterproof connector can reduce its fitting resistance.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress heat conduction from a panel to a flange. SOLUTION: A flange 13 made of synthetic resin is furnished with a metal spacer 18 protrusively. When a connector 10 of panel mount type is mounted on a panel 20, the spacer 18 makes contact with the panel 20, and the flange 13 will never directly touch the panel 20 which is made of a metal. Thereby the heat of the panel 20 is absorbed by the spacer 18, where the amount of heat conduction from the panel 20 to flange 13 remains smaller than in arrangement in which the flange touches the panel directly. This should preclude thinning of flange 13 due to thermal degradation of the plastic material resulting from heat conduction from the panel 20.
