摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically achieve every nozzle operation including the preheat of a dipping nozzle and the heat storage during the continuous use with a simple mechanism without using a robot in a rough condition where the dipping nozzle is not chucked, but hoisted and supported by a nozzle holder. SOLUTION: A nozzle holder provided with trunnion shafts 23, 23 on each side is fitted to a dipping nozzle 20. A nozzle holding mechanism 30 which supports the trunnion shafts 23, 23 by an elevatable arm and presses the dipping nozzle 20 against the tundish 10 side, is provided on a lower surface side of a tundish 10. A nozzle carrying mechanism 50 which supports the trunnion shafts 23, 23 by arms 53, 53 and carries the dipping nozzle 20 in three directions is provided on the side of a working table 13. A preheating pot 40 provided on the working table 13 is elevated/lowered, and nozzle supporting tables 41, 41 to support the trunnion shafts 23, 23 are provided on an upper surface part of the preheating pot 40.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of the segment exchanging work, and to simplify an equipment by installing a pair of guide rails on each side of a roller apron corresponding to a segment, pulling out the segment to the inner side of a curved arc along a guide rail, and inserting another segment into the previous position. SOLUTION: A pair of guide rails 20 on each side extending to an inner side from an outer side of an arc of a roller apron 12 corresponding to a plurality of segments 13 to constitute the roller apron 12 of a vertical bend type or curved type continuous casting machine are installed. A pair of guide rollers 13a to be engaged with a guide rail 20 are provided in the radial direction of a curved arc of the segment 13 with a clearance, and the segments 13 are pulled out to an inner side of the curved arc along the guide rail 20 on each side, and new segments are inserted in the original position. The guide rails 20 are located on an outer circumferential part of the curved arc of the roller apron 12, and are of the fixed type in which an inclined part directed in the radial direction of the curved arc is connected to a vertical part located on an inner circumferential part of the arc.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate the entrance of a worker into a cast slab guiding passage at the time of centering work by arranging plural centering reference seats to the outside of lower side frame of a roller apron, laying a gage on the reference seats and executing the measuring of roll alignment. SOLUTION: The roller apron 2 is provided with an upper frame 3 and the lower frame 4. Plural guiding rolls 5 held to the upper and the lower frames 3, 4 guide a cast slab 1. Plural centering reference seats 9 are arranged in parallel to a pass line L of the cast slab 1 at the end part of the lower frame 4. At the time of adjusting the roll alignment, the long gage is laid on the centering reference seats 9. The length of the gage has at least length bridged to the adjacent roller aprons 2, 2. Gap between the gage and the centering reference seat 9 is measured, and whether the adjusting of the roll alignment is necessary or not, is decided, and at the time of adjusting, a shim 11 is changed to execute the centering of the roll alignment. The centering work is safely and quickly executed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the cooling effect of the copper plate of a casting mold with electromagnetic stirring and to fasten securely the copper plate to maintain the exact inside wall surface of the casting mold by forming welded projections at prescribed intervals to the flat and thin-walled copper plate and fastening mechanically such copper plate by way of dovetail grooves to a backup frame which forms water flow passages. CONSTITUTION:The projections 12 are welded to the prescribed attaching positions of the flat and thin-walled copper plate 11 of the continuous casting mold 10. The projections 12 are fitted into the dovetail grooves of the backup frame 14 forming the water flow passages 15 and are bolted 16 thereto. The cooling effect of the copper plate 10 of the casting mold of the electromagnetic stirring type is improved and the copper plate is securely bound by fastening at the projections 12 of the copper plate 10, by which the inside wall surface of the casting mold is made exact.

摘要： PURPOSE:To accurately insert a dummy bar by shifting the dummy bar in the direction reverse to the cast slab advancing direction in a roll line in continuous casting machine. CONSTITUTION:Plural driving rolls 5 for feeding the dummy bar are arranged at an interval shorter than the dummy bar 1 length in the roll line 3 in the continuous casting machine and a detector 6 front and back ends of the dummy bar is arranged on a roller table 2. The roller table is started to work with a front end detection signal, and after the lapse of a set time, stop signal is outputted and at the same time, drive-start signal is outputted to a first driving roll 5a. A timer 7 is started to work with rear end detection signal, and after the lapse of a set count, drive-starting signal is outputted to a driving roll for feeding to a following step. In each driving roll, length measuring counter 8 is arranged and release of the driving roll is instructed. The same workings in order are repeated, and the dummy bar is accurately inserted in the mold.
