摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect and to inhibit spalling, burnout or other damage by forming bricks for the tuyere and its peripheral part with refractories having a specified heat conductivity. CONSTITUTION:Bricks 3 for the sleeve of a tuyere, permanently laid bricks 4 for the tuyere and bricks 6 reinforcing the lining of the tuyere are formed with refractories having 5-85Kcal/mh deg.C heat conductivity. For example, the composition of the refractory of the bricks 3, 6 consists of 80-90pts.wt. MgO and 10-20pts.wt. C, and that for the bricks 4 consists of 60-90pts.wt. MgO and 10- 40pts.wt. C.

As for the pitch, the tar pitch, petroleum pitch, asphalt pitch, etc., are available; and as for synthetic resin, phenol resin, furan resin, etc., are available. These pitch or synthetic resins are specified to detain the residual carbon content 30-70%.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the absorption of nitrogen in molten steel caused by intrusion of air from a gap in a refractory of an immersion tube by making the immersion tube for vacuum degassing refining of the molten steel a specific double structure and arranging an inert gas supplying device. CONSTITUTION:At the time of executing the vacuum degassing refining of the containing gas of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, etc., in the molten steel in the immersion tube by dipping the immersion tube into the molten steel and making the inner part of the immersion tube high vacuum, the inner wall of the immersion tube is lined with the refractory brick 3 and also, castable refractory 4 is arranged through a cylindrical seal metal 2 hunging from a flange 9 to make the immersion tube a double structure. Further, at the part positioned at the upper part from the molten steel surface M, a porous refractory 7 as the inert gas discharging member is arranged and an inert gas distributing chamber 9 communicated with an inert gas supplying source is arranged. By discharging the inert gas which is forcedly fed from a gas blowing pipe 5, from the porous refractory 7 through this gas distributing chamber 9, the intrusion of the outer air from the outer part of the immersion tube is prevented and the increase of N content caused by the absorption of the nitrogen into the molten steel in the immersion tube with the outer air is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To lengthen drastically life of the whole of an iron skin by controlling a sudden temperature rise of the iron skin, by a method wherein the title brick is made an integrated one by arranging a magnesian/carbonaceous materials of high-carbon content and low-carbon content respectively on a hot end face side and a cold end face side. CONSTITUTION:The title brick is made an integrated one by arranging a magnesian/carbonaceous material 1 containing high carbon and a magnesian/ carbonaceous material 2 containing low carbon whose carbon content is lower than a working surface side are arranged respectively on the working surface side and an iron skin 5 side. Consequently, a temperature of the iron skin 5 can be reduced lower than that in the case where only a magnesia/carbon brick having high-carbon content is lined from the initial stage of use. Then treatment such as effective desulfurization, decarburization and dephosphorization can be performed while making the most of characteristics of the magnesia/carbon brick by preventing brick structure from becoming necessarily fragile due to oxidation. Then even at the last stage of the use of the brick, a sudden temperature rise of the iron skin can be controlled and life of the whole of the iron skin 5 can be lengthened drastically.
