    • PURPOSE:To keep temps. of molten iron and slag in a furnace to the constant and to flexibly cope with fluctuation of production in the blast furnace by arranging an overflow type cooling water receiver for spraying water pipe to side wall part of furnace bottom and executing cooling control in the range of the prescribed height from a bottom base in the blast furnace. CONSTITUTION:The cooling water receiver 14 is arranged as projecting to iron shell 12 of the side wall 11 at the furnace bottom within the range of 2.8m height from the bottom base in the blast furnace, and a drainage pipe 15 with a valve 16 is connected with this and further, a guide groove 17 for receiving and flowing down the overflow water is arranged. The showered cooling water in the spraying water pipe 13 is received with the cooling water receiver 14 below this and in the case of closing the valve 16. this is caused to overflow and flow into the guide groove 17 to cool the side wall 11 at the furnace bottom. Further, in the case of opening the valve 16, this is drained with dranage pipe 15 to stop the cooling of the side wall at the furnace bottom below the cooling water receiver 14. By this method, heat conducting quantity can be controlled only with opening/closing control of the valve 16.

    • PURPOSE:To regulate the atmosphere in a sealing box to an oxidizing atmosphere and to obtain a plated steel sheet having attractive surface by shielding the part between fluid supports and a sealing box by a flexible sealing material and spraying a nonoxidizing gas on the surface of a steel hoop via the supports. CONSTITUTION:A couple of fluid supports 12 is disposed in a manner to be opposed to each other in a sheet-passing part 11-1 in the ceiling part of a sealing box 11 by means of torsion bars 15, etc., and the part between the fluid support 12 and the sealing box 11 is surrounded by flexible sealing materials 13 for air shielding. A steel hoop 1 drawn out of a molten zinc bath 14 is subjected to the control of zinc coating weight in the sealing box 11 with nonoxidizing atmosphere by means of gas wiping nozzles 4 and then passed through the part between the fluid supports 12. Since the sheet-passing opening 11-1 of the sealing box 11 is sealed by the above-mentioned elastically supported fluid supports 12 and flexible sealing materials 13, the infiltration of the outside air can be prevented even if the steel hoop 1 vibrates. Accordingly, the oxidation of the hot-dipped surface can be inhibited.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the development of splash from hot dipping bath by vertically applying magnetic field to surface of the hot dipping both at the same time at the time of executing gas wiping on front and back surfaces of a steel plate drawing up from the hot dipping bath. CONSTITUTION:The steel plate 1 dipped into the plating bath 2 is vertically drawn up and the front and back surfaces of the steel plate 1 are gas-wiped with a wiping nozzle 4 to make the uniform prescribed thickness of the plating thickness on the products. Then, the magnetic pole 9 in the plating bath 2 and the magnetic pole 10 between the nozzle 4 and the hot dipping bath 2 are arranged and the magnet is constituted by connecting both poles as U-shape, and the magnetic field is vertically applied to the surface of the plating bath 2 together with the gas wiping. By this method, ripple of the hot dipping bath 2 caused by influence of the wiping gas flow is restrained and the development of splash is reduced.
